Nothing like a new mug to cheer someone up,

I’ll often give my missus a mug of sorts when I’m in the dog house. She has quite the collection!

    • One of the greatest inventions of all time has been the thumb rest on a mug.

It takes your drinking experience to another level! Say goodbye to thump fatigue.

      • Whilst we're talking mugs I'd like to propose an idea and have a mug presented to the best and fairest penner for season 2025. We can call it the 'Golden Mug'. Here are my nominees. Feel free to nominate below with a 3, 2 and 1 scoring system.

        3 points - Renty

        2 points - horrie hastings

        1 point - Chook2

        • Main board appears to be dying a slow death over the past 5 days with barely a pulse visible so I’ve applied for a day pass to see if a can help. After all my middle name is help and I love this place..

Im up late researching my new thread. Loads of googling washed down with countless cups of tea.

          Hopefully my application is successful!

I’ve been holidaying in the off topic section so I better start sharpening my pencil as it’s quite chilled over here.

mmm hang in there folks as help is on its way!

          • I love buying teacups from our local charity shops. For my birthday in 2024, I bought myself a T2 cup and saucer set for $12 from Lifeline on Bondi Road and when I looked it up online, it was selling for $45

I bought another, pink and gold, with a lid, also T2, for $7 at Vinnies.

            • I've just been advised that seeing huntsman spiders is good luck, which is perfect for our forum racehorse running next week. I had 2 more come in the early hours of this morning, including when I got up later, so that was 3 this week, a very good omen.

Why They Are Considered "Lucky" (and Helpful):
              • Natural Pest Control: They act as "housemates" that eat cockroaches, mosquitoes, and flies, often described as a "great natural insecticide".
              • Harmless to Humans: Despite their large size (sometimes up to 12 inches) and fast, intimidating speed, huntsman spiders are not venomous to humans in any dangerous capacity.
              • Passive Protection: They are generally not aggressive, preferring to run away rather than bite, and only bite if provoked.
              Cultural Significance:
              • Symbol of Good Fortune: In various traditions, spiders are seen as good luck charms or creators of life.
              • Guardian Spirits: Some view them as friendly, quiet house spirits that keep the home safe and clean.
              • Spiritual Meaning: Some believe that a spider visiting you is a sign that you have healed from things that were stopping your progress.

              • I'll be back full time in the off topic section for the week starting from tomorrow. The Roosters fans on the main board are gnarly. Much nicer over here!

I think I'll give a tele away tomorrow or maybe a trip to Vegas

                • Geez its nice just sitting here on the balcony with a nice glass of wine after a lovely dinner listening the breaking surf in the distance and the mullet jumping in the river right out in front of where i am sitting, who needs music when you have these wonderful sounds.

                  • Beautiful now just watching the moon rise over the sand dunes.

Lucky you. I’m jealous. I think I need a holiday. It’s great to see you’re having a nice relaxing time Horrie.

                          • Ive had a lovely cup of Russian Caravan tea, then not long after a good quality shi. Upon finishing after wiping my arse but before dispensing of the paper in the toilet I had a nice look down to admire my work and it was great to see it all sitting on the floor of the bowl. Its comforting to know your insides are working well
