Trump Berates Reporters, Gets Mystery MRI & Closes Border to (Non-White) Immigrants | The Daily Show
not having a go at trump supporing roosters fans, but a bit of sanity for the rest of us. brooks is a republican trump critic, jon stewart is a liberal partisan and sometimes pushes the envelope but is often on the money

Trump’s whole battle plan has basically been:- Slap tariffs on everything using novelty-sized bits of paper with his signature. Sell it as some genius “reciprocal” strategy even though Biden already negotiated free trade deals with most of these countries. Then get the spruikers to chant “America First” like it’s policy rather than a slogan.
- Musk loves it because he thinks Tesla suddenly wins the EV market once foreign manufacturers get belted. Never mind that most Teslas run on BYD batteries and that tariffs jack up inflation for everyone including him.
- Inflation goes through the roof. Consumers get smashed. Tesla gets smashed. Everyone yawns.
- Republicans get torched in all the byelections. Trump withholds economic data because it shows exactly how cooked everything is. Tariffs start quietly rolling back.
- Meanwhile China’s just cruising around signing deals, boosting trade while the US tourism and export sectors nosedive because the rest of the world’s over the circus.
- Then, desperate for a poll bounce, Trump tries deploying soldiers against citizens and residents against the will of state governments. That gets rolled back too. So do the attempts to prosecute public officials who found him guilty of actual crimes. Turns out there’s no legal basis for any of it.
