Yeah agree, Smith should be there. The two ramp shots Renshaw attempted for his dismissals in Pakistan were absolutely terrible. The really annoying thing about this World Cup is I can’t watch it because it’s on Amazon Prime and I have to subscribe for a month in order to watch it.

yeah, an unacceptable result for an australian team.
no doubt not being able to pick mitch stark was a blow but at least there's a reason for that. not only should they have picked steve smith in the squad, they should have made him captain.
i get the reasons behind picking separate teams for the various forms of international cricket but the selectors need to be flexible and use commonsense. not picking an in form steve smith, a proven performer on the sub-continent, with experience in tossing the coin was crazy. maybe that wasn't the reason we lost to zimbabwe and sri lanka but it's still crazy

Leaving Smudge out was very shortsighted of the selectors. He’s brilliant on slow wickets and finding the gaps. These wickets are ok for the big hitters in the first ten, then when the ball gets soft it loses pace. Perfect for Smith, and Renshaw who shouldn’t have been dropped either.

I’ve seen him play a bit in the BBL. He has promise. I like the look of young Oliver Peake from Victoria but he’s a batsman rather than an all rounder and still very young.
