Not happy at all. I was riding Australia home at that point.

          Scary moments indeed.
When Laberchange committed suicide, peoples champion Green strode to the wicket.
I was so confident at that point.
But they got the job done.
Would've been an easier win if they played a spinner instead.

Me too lol. The other night I was watching the end of the Thunder v Strikers game. Warner was still in and on I think 80 something, but in the final over chasing, he could only manage 3 dot balls and a single leaving the tail ender to have to score about 10 to win off the last two balls. Which he couldn’t. I was cheering for the Strikers. Warner really annoys me. Of course I always wanted him to play well for Australia but there’s something about his cocky arrogance that annoys me.

            • no doubt aus batting has a few chinks in the armour but winning an ashes series 4-1 feels good. mitchell starc really stepped up in the absence of cummins and hazelwood and was a worthy player of the series although travis head was unlucky to miss out. steve smith was great. labuschagne started well, then played hmself out of form but looked pretty good in this test and should have scored more. boland took the most of his chance and carey went to a new level

Go Greenie! He’ll be a star one day. And not playing a spinner at the SCG is a farce. Richie, Warnie and Bill O’Reilly will be turning in their graves.
Sad to see Uzzie go out with two cheap dismissals. The Australian public can be so fickle turning on him. He’s not the only cricketer to whinge about media scrutiny.

                • Now it's all over red rover we gotta plan on making hay while the sun shines.
In a year or two Australian cricket will be in the doldrums.
Smith and our top 5 line up of bowlers are nearer the end, and theres nothing on the horizon.
We had two debutants this series, both in there 30s, and both flops.
The young players putting up their hands for a test spot don't exist.
Personally I blame this T20 rubbish for the eventual demise of test cricket, which is a shame for me because it's the only form of the game I enjoy.

I sadly fear that "Greenie's" 22 not out will be enough to keep him in the team for another few years.

Haha…nice response Eddie. It will be interesting. I think he only made the Sydney test because they chose to go without a spinner.

                      • The Aussie T20 team had no idea how to play spin on those Pakistani spin friendly wickets. Maybe the BBL organisers should remember that bowling is actually half the game. The bowling action of one of the paki bowlers is totally bizarre. It looked like he was playing under 12’s.

They also cheated with the stumping of Connolly. I mean our batting was terrible and we were comprehensively beaten, but their wicket keeper caught the ball in one hand and knocked down the stumps with the other empty hand. Imagine the hoo-hah if one of our keepers did that! And where’s the third umpire?

                            • good luck to the aussies in the t20 world cup. down a few troops and you'd figure they'll still be competitive but winning it might be a bridge too far.
not picking steve smith is dumber than not selecting keiran perkins for the atlanta olympics would have been. sure, travis head and mitchell marsh have earned their places at the top of the order but matt renshaw?

Yeah agree, Smith should be there. The two ramp shots Renshaw attempted for his dismissals in Pakistan were absolutely terrible. The really annoying thing about this World Cup is I can’t watch it because it’s on Amazon Prime and I have to subscribe for a month in order to watch it.
