Good luck tomorrow AW. On his best, this is a very winnable race for him. Hope they run along.

Thanks Jaxxx I think he’s going well but he needsluck or more things to fall his way. In saying that he’s definitely a chance. We’ve run 3rd in this race twice in 21 and 23 maybe it can be 3rd time lucky

Uncharacteristically poor run from Tara today Hopefully all is ok with him after the vet goes over him Perhaps Father Time has caught up with him

Could be a tough decision time for the ownership group. He certainly has been a great horse for you guys, won over half a million in prize money. As a now 9 year old moving hemispheres he has done really well. Guess you have to rely on the experts. As long as he's sound and not showing stress who knows? Obviously his welfare is uppermost in your mind.

I tuned in yesterday as I finish work at 3pm and had made a little wager. No matter what happens going forward with Andy’s beautiful horse, it’s been a privilege to watch his journey since he came over from Ireland. Particularly being able to witness his first win in Australia in August 2021 when most of us were still at home in lockdown was a bright spot for me. I’d said to Andy that I thought by September 2021 the horse would start winning and he surpassed my predictions by doing it earlier. The late former Mr Redwhiteblue only had a matter of weeks left by then and this gave me something positive I could look forward to, even if it were only a few minutes here and there.

It made all the difference and this is what some people do not get. It’s his 4th anniversary tomorrow and it’s quite disturbing sometimes how time flies.

My late cousin and uncle were heavily involved in racing in Toowoomba and so was my sister’s in laws. Racehorses are not just ‘investments’. They become part of the family and bring a lot of joy to those of us who care on a personal level also. Thank you Tara for bringing me a little bit of magic over the years. Hoping there is still more to come..

For those who commented after Wednesday’s race

MR Taramansour has pulled up well nothing wrong with him. That’s good but makes you wonder what went wrong

Jaxxx I agree at some stage real soon that hard conversation needs to happen Something I’ve mentioned to a few owners For now since the horse is as bright as a button we keep going He’s up at the farm now chilling and living the good life there’s a race in late next month where if he’s anywhere near his best he is a strong winning chance or at least run very well. There are other nice races on the offering after that should he perform at the level we know he is capable of.

RWB Your memory is sharp and your post hit the nail right on the head The pick me up and hope he has given myself and family along with my other owner ( during those Covid times especially) and a period where both of us had in the last year lost parents He gave us hope and something to look forward to We could have sold him and made substantial profit this time 4 years ago But as my other owner and Mrs Walker pointed out is this really about money neither of you need it This is about family and friendship My other owner and I have been friends since we were kids over 40 years So yeah the horse comes part of the family. Finally thanks for the positivity at the end I read it all yesterday when I waa flat Maybe you can get your Christal’s out snd manifest Taramansour another win

I won’t ever forget the important stuff Andy. 2020 was the year of beautiful mothers of people close to me leaving this earth. I’ve been teary all week and having sad dreams about my own mother..I felt really deflated after the race as well.
2021 was a bittersweet time…I’d given you a citrine crystal and also an adventurine crystal for you & your daughter. The colours of those are green and gold, the same as Tara’s jockey silks and I did not know this at the time as I hadn’t seen him run at that stage! So my colours were on the money (pun intended). Citrine is for uplifting energy, promoting positivity and attracting abundance. Adventurine is for promoting luck and enhancing prosperity.

I still have what I refer to as the mother of all crystals. It’s a rare one and is a peach selenite which is for supporting new beginnings, strength and positive changes. That one was tightly gripped in my hand all the way through the second half of the 2019 grand final.

It’s right next to me as I type this, near Mum & Dad’s photo. That’s the one I pull out when Tara is running.I will always keep an eye out for his upcoming races even when I am in my girl cave just sitting quietly away from the world, reflecting and recharging my energy. Oh as I type this, REM is playing Everybody Hurts, take comfort in your friends...

I always did joke on here that I have more crystals than a Bondi yoga studio and now I really am living this geographically. I also did some reasearch a couple of years back on the patron saint of racehorses and found St Eligius. It's really hard to find a medal here and most I saw online were located in France but I will keep looking.

I have zero interest in the Melbourne Cup this year as I’m just not in the mood so I’ve volunteered to go into the office. As I finish at 3pm, I’ll be on a bus home during the race so I’ll send some good vibes your way for a successful day for yourself and our other forum punters.

I went down to Melbourne just for the day last year on 23 November to see my niece visiting from Florida finally as she didn’t want to get vaccinated and had been worried about re-entry to the US for so long after Covid. I was able to spend some time alone with my brother in law watching the races on TV as it was a Saturday (36 degrees and no Bondi sea breeze down there!) and Tara came up in our conversation.
I really believe we are coming out of a type of uncertain cycle into a very positive grounded 2026…say goodbye to the old ways and embrace a new era...That’s our Roosters’ heartland postcode and Chinese New Year of the Horse…it’s a sign..Oh as I type this bit, Robbie is on now..”If you are willing to change, let love be your energy..”

No matter how much our hearts get broken sometimes, we will always have the sun rising in the east..and our friends and loved ones with us in spirit.

I approve of your latest avatar Andy as well. You may like this one I have in a deck which I use for my Sunday meditation sessions..check out the name, meaning and colour..!

She placed a bet before 5.30am and came around to my place to invited a few of us to watch the race with her as a witness..we are both $50 richer now!

Congrats Andy and family from the residents in a Bondi apartment block..those crystals worked..LOL...

Thanks for the well wishes and thank Bernie for those crystals Sometimes magic happens.

What a day yesterday was I be honest with everyone I thought Taramansour was finished as a race horse After his previous run I was happy for him to be retired Even before yesterday he’s has been good to us We love him like family So much so one of the girls we know at the pub when finding out he’d Ron said Your son won for you

Before the race yesterday I was unusually quiet trained at the gym in the morning and just sat at home with the family I got a bit emotional an hour or so before the race as I thought this would more than likely be his last race I said as much to the family but added you never know if he turns up and runs his best he would just z about win I had a 50 dollar free bet so I put that on him at 30/1

Before the race he was bright and acting like his quirky self in the yard and going to the barrier The run before he was quiet and subdued I kept saying look at him he’s bright and happy today you just never know.

During the race ( I sort of go into my own bubble or little world ) I was happy and when took off I turned and said here we go we are going to be right in this at the 600 that turned into OMFG I think he’s going to win Down the straight I and I think we were all screaming GO TARA GO TARA just inside the 100 I knew he was going to win and was jumping up and down like a mad man when he hit the line I turned around to see the whole family on their feet doing the same Wild scenes of jubilation god knows what the neighbours thought A minute or two after the race I cried He’s been with us for so long through all the highs and lows of life he’s also given us highs and lows and highs The horse I identified in Ireland some 6 years ago initially finally won a Cups race when I’d pretty much given up on it ever happening

Taramansour taught or reminded me a few things yesterday. First is You are never too old Second sometimes wheb things seem dark or desperate the light is just about to shine again Third Never ever give up

Also thanks Randy and Horrie for your messsges Randy I hope you and the family enjoyed the Chinese

Finally I’ve attached a replay of yesterdays race

                            • Was watching the ch 10 news and they showed the finish of the R8 Ladbrokes Supa Nova with the horse called Warnie winning and i just came out and said there was a more important race on than that and then they showed R7 with Taramansour winning the Packenham cup and i went yes and then tried to explain to the better half the connection of the horse through the Chookpen.

I watched the replay from the link that was posted, amazing when he went wide and the spurt on at the finish.

                              • I'm from Ireland too (there are few of us in Bernie's apartment block) so that's why we watched together. I'll drink to your horse when I land there next week as I'm leaving Australia. I've sent the clip to my Dad and brothers..Bernie and I are logged in and having a read together now..

                                Hi Rad from Bernie,

I'm still shaking nearly 24 hours later and woke up at 3.33am, the time of the angels..I'd been in tears on Wednesday night..the porcelain angel I used to have sitting next to Mum's photo all year round smashed when I was overtired and shutting the windows in the dark..I'd bought 6 of them from DJ's about 7 years ago and sent them to my sisters and my aunties, 3 of whom are no longer with us. It was a special family circle of angels I'd created for all of the senior women in our family, most of whom are all widowed. Trust me to be the first to break one..then I was talking to a deeply spiritual lady at work from India who said to me "Bernie, it was her time to go"..I went to Westfield on Friday afternoon but didn't like anything I saw in the shops to replace her. Then I went online yesterday at lunch time before the race and found a beautiful one for click and collect later in the week. They gave me $10 off for being a new customer. I pick it up one day this week after work before my 3 week holiday starts on Friday as I just want to potter around at home and focus on my art work.. I'll be calling her "Tara" and putting her next to the crystal. So I'd spent the winnings already before the race..

You have no idea how much your post resonates with me..again, the bank made more of my team redundant..On 30th September, the end of financial year for the company, my boss thought he'd have to let me go too and my friend in HR kept putting my file to the bottom as they didn't want to make the call..I'd interviewed for what I thought was a random job in IT (yes, she who will not carry a smart phone..) and I got a call from HR 5 hours before the deadline saying I'd been offered a newly created position and that they had cancelled the other candidates' interviews as they wanted me..If I had told my 18 year old self that I would be embarking on a career in IT and AI at age 58 in a newly created role in Compliance that no-one had ever done before..well even I would think that was nuts...my old boss who is leaving this week said he's never met anyone who has stayed so calm whilst manifesting..I'd been up since 4am on that day too and felt a strong sense of anticipation..so I'll quote you here too my friend..These words will stay with me forever:

"Taramansour taught or reminded me a few things yesterday. First is You are never too old Second sometimes wheb things seem dark or desperate the light is just about to shine again Third Never ever give up" -

I was like that yesterday morning too when I got up after having that dream..I had said out loud in the dream "Rad's horse is on TV"..went to the laptop, nearly died of shock when I saw it was Packenham Cup Day, placed the bet via Betr.com.au and went down to the beach at 6am..

I shared the video with my school friends on Facebook as the Warwick Turf Club got destroyed a few weeks back in the bad storms (Dad and my uncles are all rolling over in their graves..) and you can read about it here. Racing QLD are helping pay for the damage and repairs:

Finally it wouldn't be us without a song..these lyrics!

I Have a Dream, a song to sing
To help me cope, with anything
If you see the wonder, of a fairy tale
You can take the future, even if you fail

                                I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
                                I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream, I Have a Dream

                                I Have a Dream, a fantasy
                                To help me through, reality
And my destination, makes it worth the while
Pushin' through the darkness, still another mile

                                I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
                                I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream, I Have a Dream
I'll cross the stream, I Have a Dream

I Have a Dream, a song to sing
To help me cope, with anything
