A fantastic start and now the rain s coming in to help as well. I’m not sure why we didn’t bat like this in the first innings instead of being so slow and negative. It’s great to see.

Totally agree. I'm not sure what the weather forecast is for the last day, but the poms love nothing more than a good whinge. They also like to claim the high moral ground with their bazball and so-called spirit of cricket nonsense. Before this Ashes series they were claiming we need to go to 4 day tests - presumably because they are so good at keeping the score moving quickly THESE DAYS. Yet when the 4th test was washed out they were whinging that the game should be allowed to go till 10pm or have an extra day added. Disgraceful umpiring to change a battered ball after 38 overs with a rock hard cherry that looks about 15 overs old when any change is supposed to be one close in condition. Balls swinging all over the place I think we're in a bit of bother.Comment

We dodged a bullet with Stokes taking the catch but losing it celebrating. Starting to get very dark I don't know whether we'll get the full days play in. I'll take a draw so we can win the series. Poms have bowled plenty of overs and a couple of them are carrying some battle scars but conditions are suiting bowling.Comment
