So if Coach Robinson is paid out of these sources then all players must be as well including other clubs coaches and support staff .

So we all should then as a collection of employers of sorts (paying their wages) go one step further and have a say in which players clubs can sign, retain and release and which coaches and support staff they can sign and employ.

Maybe select all the clubs teams each week as well

Maybe I should just turn up at Allianz and request a permanent free seat as after all I am sure some of my taxes went into building it so in that case I am a part owner.

Of course it doesn't work that way.

If we beat a hopeless Saints side without a proper coach by 20 or 30 this weekend I will be the first on here to say that Robbo has finally got the team heading in the right direction again

In terms of the season proper? Prelim minimum is par for the course with this side… anything less after last year and this guy is simply not good anymore

As for the rainbow jerseys you keep banging on about? for Women in League round? that was indeed the dumbest most disrespectful thing I’ve seen in rugby league for a long time and Manly 100% paid the price

Wasn’t Robbo’s business to get involved in that… but that is not my gripe with him… as I’ve made very clear… Robbo needs to focus on what’s best for our club or he can move on and let someone else take that prestigious responsibility as far as I’m concerned

It’s hard to.. he says some annoying stuff in the media that gets you all riled up but when you watch him play you have to admire his talents. We are yet to replace him too which doesn’t help

You look back on those things and be grateful for the opportunities you have. I’m very grateful for the Roosters even though they’re an enemy now. I’ve had the satisfaction of being on both sides... Won comps and no one can take that away from me. I don’t care what they say, I know they miss me but at the end of the day we do what we’ve got to do in this game.

IMO that's exactly where it's at. He appreciates his time with us and how it all began. However, his career's taken a turn and it is what it is. It's all just business. He's playing for a club, he's happy, he's earning good money and he can only care so much about his previous job.

Reminds me of a conversation I had with a boss at work the other day. They made some edits to something I drafted and were prepping for this whole conversation about 'don't worry... I get it from people above me too... happens to the best of us'. However, I shocked them by saying 'I don't care... honestly, it's just a piece of work. Beat it to death and call it a piece of junk if you like, I'm not gonna go shedding tears over it'. They still wanted to tell me their life story of emotional ups and downs over edits to their drafting. I just nodded and was like 'oh yeah cool story bro', then all I could say was 'yeah that's a nice story but again, it's just a bit of paperwork. I couldn't be less worried about somebody wanting to make changes as it's off my desk and I don't have to deal with it anymore'.

I reckon most people get to a stage in life where work's... work. All you want is a good paycheque and colleagues that you get on with. The rest? You're just following somebody's instructions and there's not much else to it.
