There must be stuff going on behind the scenes that us supporters just aren’t privy too. And I really don’t believe for a second that Sam and family aren’t completely pissed off about his axing.

I’m sure there is plenty that happens behind the scenes that supporters aren’t aware of, including whether or not his family have got involved. I understand that helicopter parenting is a real thing but if it’s still happening when you’re 20 it’s time to cut the safety line and cop the dropping on the chin.

I hope he is pissed off or at least it burns so hot that he either puts his head down and improves what has been asked of him or decide he’s bigger than the team and coach and jump ship. The vision of him in the dressing room last week suggests that he is prepared to tough it out.
Either that or he should be playing poker!

I feel like we have had post like this for at least 6 weeks. Robbo won't realise this week anything about Hutch he seems entrenched in the side wherever Robbo can squeeze him in. I'm in the pro Robbo camp but on this matter I think he is completely delusional. He has a crush on Hutch that shows no signs of letting up ever.

i think i tend to disagree, the only unacceptable loss for me this year was round 1 vs the dolphins , which we always lose .

there is every chance the sharks and storm our other 2 losses couldbe top 4 teams , hell the sharkies could find themselves in the gf given their current trajectory .

We can lose this, we should win easily, but any side which runs the Handbrake out as a starting centre is obviously vulnerable. It was a good effort in NZ last week, and if we can repeat that we should win, but in that game the Handbrake was not brought on until late in the game, and the damage he can do was minimized.
I obviously mean the damage he can do to US, he does no damage to the opposition.
I still believe his inclusion is a sign of disharmony in the ranks and delusion in the coach.
Leave a top class halfback out, move your 5/8 to half , move supposedly the worlds bet centre to 5/8, and replace him at centre with the Handbrake. it's madness.

Yes but don’t forget Hutch has been lauded by our coach as the new Aubbo. So isn’t it just great to have Aubbo playing regularly in the team?

Horro and Mase said quite bluntly that Hutcho defends at centre and then switches with Manu in attack (with him being a valid kicking option at 5/8 and Manu being a roaming ball runner).

My footy IQ's too poor to read games like somebody who's played NRL but to me that sorta planning makes sense.

In a team with so much talent/expectation, I think Robbo appreciates a guy who will just slot in, get through his defensive load and do what he's told in attack. Boring but when you're up 14-0 in horrible weather and fatigue's starting to set in, sometimes you need somebody to just slot in, make his tackles and not do anything stupid.

If Hutcho were screaming for the ball in attack and getting mad when Manu / Sua'ali'i / Teddy / Bowlo got ball then I don't think he'd get named at centre. I think there's an inherent assumption that he's not there to try and do a Joey Manu in attack. That would be stupid.
