I have to admit that I’ve disliked the khunt ( Bennett) since the backflip, but do admire his coaching ability. He sticks to basics, and time and time again it’s been proven that basics work. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel or split the atom, basics get you there in the long run.
Our beloved roosters are being let down by the basics. The missed tackles, then dropped balls, the undisciplined penalties are what’s hurting us most. These are things the coach can tell them not to do, but it’s them the piessional players that must execute on the field.

I feel certain we’ll come good, my only genuine concern for this season is I sense there’s a more evident bias towards the grubs than ever before. The push by the PM to shove the voice on sports bodies is making refs and commentators a little reluctant to call out any indiscretions by the so called “ indigenous “ team. I might be wrong and only speaking through my own bias towards my beloved roosters, but it’s what feel at the moment.

Big Jack Gibson mentored him so not surprising he is Big Jack Gibson like.

I worked with someone who played under Big Jack - came from the country - Big Jack found him a Job / Accommodation and lent him money ( interest free) to buy a car.

No need for that nowadays but Big Jack wouldn't pick players who didn't have a job outside of footy.
