Lodge won't take a pay cut to stay at our great club. He want's the big bucks.! JWH is more than just a player at the Roosters. He bleeds red, white and blue. He is the teams spiritual leader so I'd be happy for him to play one more season. His output is still worth it!

It would depend on what the salary cap folk determine his market value is for salary cap purposes irrespective of what the Roosters may offer him

I am wondering what market value for salary cap purposes they will put on JWH and Toops in their last season in 2024 if they are to be re-signed.

The above may provide some wriggle room to re-sign Lodge plus taking into account the long serving player allowance of 250k per club as well.

Agree re JS. We have Young & the pommy bloke coming as outside back,plus Toops, Paulo, Manu, Mr unreliable Smith already there so players will need to go from our outside back. Why invest in the defector who has been terrible all year when we can push him out & spend his coin elsewhere .
