And the next 5 weeks isn’t the worst draw either.

After 10 rounds we should hopefully be on 16 points (please just win on Anzac Day boys).

Still have Gus, Lodge and Sitili to come back soon as well.
Yes, I was tempted to post the Lifeline number on here after the Dolphins game. I went to that match and I knew we would lose before the kick-off for a raft of reasons. The reaction was over the top. We have some solid young players and some recycled ones who need to adapt to our system, not to mention injuries. The simple fact is it takes time for young players to be able to perform consistently at NRL level week in week, particularly forwards. I remember a large number calling for Collins to be punted, same with Mick Crocker when he started (fans at the SFS screaming that he wasn't first grade standard). We have a solid base and have beaten two top 8 sides from last year and the Warriors who are playing well to be 3-1.
We coped with the following unavailable - Billy Smith, Joey Manu, Momo, R Toia, Gus, Connor Watson, Lodge, Sitili, Terrell May. That makes it a great win.

full strength (and I know that’s a big lol given the injuries the last few years) no one is beating:

      1 Teddy
      2 Toops
      3 Smith
      4 Manu
      5 Suaalii
      6 Keary
      7 Walker
      8 JWH
      9 Smith
      10 Lodge
      11 Nat
      12 Gus
      13 Radley

      14 Watson
      15 Sitili
      16 Collins
      17 Egan
I feel a lot of sympathy for Smithy.

But, there is no way you shift Paulo out in order to accomodate him.

Paulo, I feel, is the superior player.

It's times like this where you put your big boy boots on and concede you were wrong. Everyone makes blunders.

But Raaaay won't do that evidently.

He still thinks our 2018 season was a failure because we lost some early games, despite the fact we won the comp.
And he famously predicted Hastings/Nikorima combo was going to be far superior to the Maloney/Pearce combo that won the comp in 2013.

I believe he stands by those.

Paulo has had some not so good moments too, like that intercept attempt last night. I feel like he could be a real rocks or diamonds type player. I need to see more of him before I can build a real opinion on him.

But you are right at this stage he has shown enough to be given an extended run in the 17, he's been brilliant so far.

His right foot step is so effortless you just don't see it coming and I wasn't surprised to see that flick pass last night. He showed some good skill when Souths played him at centre last year.

Solid start at our new home, liked the physical domination we had for most of the last night and large parts of last week too - it's a very good sign. Now we get to see if we can impose ourselves on the road to quality opposition, we show we can do that and the path to the premiership is a viable one.

I hate the word 'solid' when trying to describe a positive situation. Alwayz feels like a back-handed compliment.

                    Maybe I'm too pedantic.

given we've got a history of starting slowly so three wins from four is good and i thought last night's performance was our best. throw teddy, manu, lodge and angus in and we're looking good

Brett Morris was like one of those anxiety blankets when he arrived, i just felt at ease knowing he was out there. Will need to speak to my psychologist but not sure I could maintain another finals run of constant paranoia.
