I can hear Tallis blowing up now on hearing this although he doesn't seem to know how the cap works
Tallis is so dumb he wouldn't know how a bottle cap works.

When he passes mini ,in the next month, he will do it about 70 games ahead of mini, the best winger we have ever had , will be hard for any other player to match

Toops was playing Origin last year so his output is still high quality.

He is a great player and human being - sign him up for at least another season!

And according to the media experts two weeks ago we were moving him on.
There is no way the club would dump Toups. He is a Roosters legend and deserves to be treated as such.

If losing Suuali means we get to keep Toups another couple of years then I’m over the moon. Toups is the humblest of legends in the NRL, a true rooster and given and will continue to contribute more to our team and club than Suuali ever will. If we get to keep Toups let Suuali go tomorrow to his blessed Union. Won’t miss him one bit.

I love the way he just scores and makes no fuss about it, and the work he does out of our end.
Dead set champion, the epitome of the quiet achiever
He does the work of an extra forward taking the ball out of our area. Fergo used to do that. We’ve got hidden forwards like Toups who get us out of trouble time and again.

Lol I said to my Brother last week should he break the record and I was there I would want to run into the field

He'll pass Mini in about 70 less games played ...outstanding ! Deserves to break the record at a home game. Would be great to do it at a full Allianz on Anzac day !

Those stats show what a phenomenon Dave Brown was ..basically a try a game !

Personally and undoubtably Toops is the best Easts specialist winger I’ve seen. I say that confidently and he is better than legendary Bill Mullins. I was fortunate to see Bill play in his prime.

We all knew Daniel came across as a humble and decent human being, but these comments blow me away.

Earlier this year, the modest Tupou admitted he felt embarrassed to be within reach of breaking Minichiello‘s record.

“I’m blessed to be able to come so close to reaching that milestone, but at the same time I don’t want it to be my main focus. I also don’t want to beat Mini’s amazing Roosters milestone,” Tupou said.

“He’s an all-time Roosters great and I don’t want to go past his milestone. He is one of the best players to have ever put on the jersey.”

In a world full of self absorbed egomaniacs too busy worrying about their 'personal brand', Daniel not only literally stands head and shoulders above them, but figuratively also. How blessed are we, as Roosters fans, to have had the privilege of watching him play all these years? He is a genuine club man, not wanting the spotlight on himself but on the team, and thinking of Anthony and paying tribute to his old captain, rather than focussing on what he can grab for himself. Like others on here, I do hope it will be ANZAC Day he will achieve this and I hope the club releases some merchandise to mark the occasion also..Something we can all add to the pool room..

Oh and I'll say it again for the millionth time..stupid stupid Parra for not recognising his talents..Rod Reddy did though..

Here's to you Daniel, not only for the player you are, but for the great example you've displayed wearing our jersey all these years with pride and excellence. Quiet, humble achievers are my kind of people as they are the ones who keep the world turning.
He's in my all time top favourite players alongside another modest humble champion in Brett Kenny.
"Be good enough to forgive people but don't be stupid enough to trust them again."
