friend has always been good at giving away penalties. He is a specialist at it. Then we have to put up with that dumb look on his face each time he gets caught.

If I had to run at anyone at Easts, it would be between Friend and SKD..

Friend racks up the most tackles each game, but they are all soft ineffective tackles that get our opponents quick play the balls...

Friend form at the moment is shocking, but he'll bounce back, for the time being mitchell really needs to start.

Carney set up most of our tries that year with utterly brilliant vision. His job may have been to run the ball, but do you actually think he was just making it up as he went along with team mates just magically being able to read what he was thinking and be where they needed to be?

We had pet plays and set plays under Carney's attack. We had a signature style that you could identify as the Roosters. If Carney weren't the driving force behind that attack, then how do you suppose we look so stilted and useless with him not here? Surely if Pearce was driving the attack around the park in 2010 we'd still have the same basic shape and structure in 2012?

              Brian Smith.

He genuinely believes this ad-lib stuff. That you can play with no structure when you've got Anasta, Mini and Friend in your spine, and a halfback who thrives on set plays and organising.

              It is almost sad.

It's not vision Apple its instinct. He's a purely instinctive player Carntey.

By Carnteys own words Pearce ran the team around in 2010. That said we had an option in Carntey. That keeps the defence guessing and gives Pearce room. It also gives Friendly options, not having to be creative himself. Think back to some of Carntey, Pearce and Friendlys little pet plays up the middle late in games. That's practiced and it's game plan. Trouble is now we lack that option to spark that sort of play. Therefore Pearce and Friendly look like they have NFI.

Sure. But we all know the deal there mate. And anyone that expected anything different than what we Are seeing now, inconsistency and form reversals, haven't learnt from history. After all Bwaiff is the one consistent since pRicky was here and this all started occurring. He's seen off coaches and any player that's even looked OK in the 6 jumper.

But of course 1/2 this forum blame the coach, the 1/2, the hooker, the centers, the wingers, the management, the ballboys, the cheerleaders, the weather, the social pages. Some will try and blame me for making this post, cos it doesn't suit their agendas.

Next season will be interesting to see Baloney with the rest of this team.

After the game the other night I was looking at my two moggies & wondering if it was their fault.

                              I disagree.

Carney did a lot of brilliant things but those plays around the ruck didn't rely on his individual brilliance. They relied on well timed running at holes, a skill that can be taught.

We have players who could be taught to do this. You could do the little set moves around the ruck with SKD, Leilua, Mini, or one of our backrowers.

                              We just don't.

Not because we don't have the cattle, but because Smith doesn't coach practiced game plans anymore.
