Not entirely sold on Maubs just yet. I don't even think he's even cemented a LONG TERM guaranteed pick in the second row let alone captain. Plus he doesnt really seem like a huge talker on the field.

Your probably right - it probably won't improve his personal game but it is a team sport... a born leader will get the most out of a team... but yeah lets give it to Pearce.... lol

I've been watching and often, kicks for goal etc Bwaiff let's Pearce make the call.

I'm betting Pearce will still handle the on field calls.

And Maubs will handle the off field media shit etc and talk to the reffs. Hes an 80 min player and less chance to play rep. He will be the face, the Big O. Pretty Woman, one of Melons best.

That's just my opinion though.

That bloke turned the other cheek too much, he was skinnier than Jen Hawkins & the whole passive resistance thing just didn't cut it for me, I mean what's he going bring to the squad? Maybe he could ensure that one orange & one bottle of Powerade could be all we need all season for the entire 5 grades, but I just don't think he has the right stuff to take the ball up to the nastiest pigs in the NRL & lead the way, I may be wrong but I just don't think so.
