I don't mind the signing to be honest, just turned 30 years old so could come good and have a good season or two in the NRL if he works hard, worst case scenario the NSW Cup side gets an experienced player who has won a premiership and played 7 games of Origin.
If we have an injury crisis in our forwards he'd surely be strong enough to at least be average in some NRL games...Comment

ROOSTERS TO THROW NAPA LIFELINE
Spencer Leniu may reportedly be off to the Roosters next year but that has not stopped the Tricolours from making a move to bolster their forward pack for 2023.
According to The Daily Telegraph, former Roosters firebrand Dylan Napa has been given a potential NRL lifeline by the club after signing a second-tier deal with the team.
The report claims Napa will be part of the Roosters’ NSW Cup squad after being offered a “minimal contract with match payments” and could return to the NRL team later in the season.
That of course will depend on how Napa performs in the lower grades.
Napa was released by the Catalan Dragons late last year after just 20 appearances for the Super League club, with a statement at the time confirming both parties mutually agreed to the decision.
The 30-year-old last played in the NRL at the Bulldogs, where he was reportedly earning $600,000 per season before making the switch overseas.

Napa was at training today
The fiery forward returned to training on Tuesday and fitted in like he’d never left.
“He’s brought his persona and energy and what we enjoy about him,” Collins said of Napa, who left the Roosters at the end of 2018.
“I came to the club as a kid and Naps was already making a name for himself, so he was a big role model for me. To go full circle and come back, it’s really good to have him here.
“He’s a good bloke, a good man and I look forward to having him for the year.”

The speed of the game now has giants like NAS second guessing himself. Bigger players always have problems with lateral movement = defense which is why they defend tight and in the middle.
That's why hutch struggles when they send him wide to defend.
Look at Sam walker, never going to run over a speedbump, but he will skip around the bigger fellas and make up for his slight size by generating points for the team. Alfie Langer was a good example, Lockyer too.
If we're talking forwards, look no further than our own jake friend, no taller than a bar stool but could defend to the strength of 2 men. Danny Nutley was way shorter than I thought when I met him.
Alot of players these days like Brian To'o suit the game, built low to the ground, strong and athletic, he will be dominated in the air by the likes of Tupou for sure but still a great player.
And then you have Joey Manu, big, skillful and athletic.
Footy has always attracted most body types except for mine, which is more suited being attached to a flag.
I got cut in half once in high school by a much smaller kid and that was my footy career over.
Leave big is better to beers and bank accounts.Comment
