  • New year Rooster resolutions

A change in attitude and the way we approach games against our arch rivals would be good to see, then some wins might come our way

Toughen up our D and bring back the Bondi wall.
On the flip side I don’t believe scoring points will be a problem.

Be ready to go from round 1 and leave players in their normal positions and normal sides. Ridiculous selections and reasoning behind them had us on the backfoot from the start last season !!! Love Robbo but fark me

          1. Keep up my running... won't bore you with my personal goals but I had about 12 months off in total over the past 3 years and have now been running 10km+ daily for a solid 6 months. Feeling fit but I know there's some massive improvements there for me.

          2. Stop responding to those bloody off-topic threads where a certain someone asserts that he wishes to 'get the facts straight' about China, Russia, Bin Laden, CIA conspiracies...etc (that or [Phillip Adams voice] 'eeerm... oh yes and the China thing... shall we discuss it briefly?') I'm easily baited by trolls (always have been). In short, they're a major waste of my time. IMO I'm way better off surrounding myself with those who are capable of engaging in more positive, succinct, fact-driven discourse. That or mad rants about the footy.

          3. Career-wise I have a goal but as always with jobs, such things revolve around me getting the right interview / opportunity. I'm gonna put myself out there a bit more this year. If anybody on here knows lawyers in the M&A space who are able to coach / mentor me then I'm all ears.

          4. Family... I'm not gonna get personal as my wife's challenges are her personal things to share, but I think I'm doing a good job. Sometimes you can only help yourself though. I just wanna keep making sure I'm calm / level-headed and available for family. End of the day work can go fark itself if my family life isn't in order. It ALWAYS takes priority (and has throughout bushfires / COVID... has been tiring but I think this year's gonna give us way more headspace than the previous few). I wanna use this extra headspace for the good of our family. This includes my mum who is rebuilding her home after the bushfires. There's finally a concrete slab there and the rest is being fabricated off-site by the architect (it should all click together like building blocks). I'm also hoping to have an extended visit to Japan for my daughter. This 'resolution' is ongoing and pretty broad but I think it underpins most of my goals. I'm always 'available' for family because that's what life's about.

The only thing I want is to just have a normal amount of injuries.

If we get beaten in a fair fight, fair enough.

We’ve had three premiership window seasons ruined by abnormally shit injury luck.

Yes me too. If we have a good season with injuries nobody can compete with us.

We also need to play footy against Souths not rumble with them.

The Chooks rumbled & smashed South’s in the last round but unfortunately a week later we had too many troops missing.
The Roosters will be a top 4 side I think but injuries will determine where we finish.

IMO having so many season ending injuries has been paaaainful.

100% mate. 2021 in particular I was so proud of how brave the side was every week but anyone with half a brain knew after the Newcastle game when JMoz and Lindsay went down our season was over.
