Victor Radley is unpredictable on and off the field, but when it comes to his future he is rock solid with the Roosters. Radley has taken the remarkable step of telling his management to get a deal done with the Roosters without even talking to other clubs.

He is off contract at the end of next season and is free to negotiate now, but wants a deal with the club where he learnt his trade.

“We love Victor and he loves the club,” Roosters chairman Nick Politis said. “His manager [Sam Ayoub] called me and said Victor wants to do a deal and didn’t want to play the market. He is a Rooster and we want to keep him. It means a lot when he says things like that.”

Radley has been in the headlines for a couple of off-field incidents, but only when he has stepped in when he felt an injustice had occurred. As a rare home-grown talent, he is important to the fabric of the club.

He is in the top 10 toughest players in the game & you can’t win comps without tough farkers like him.

Yes he has been a bit 'off' at times lately but the criticism of Vic on here has blown me away. Big 2023 coming for our loose unit

I wouldn’t have ANY other lock over VR…he’s got it all, great ball player, tough as nails, good foot work and LOYALTY….just needs to cool his jets on occasion (especially when we play the scum)

I love Vic and the way he plays the game. I hope he stays with us for his career and matures into a Captain possibly......but he isn't playing in the same league as Yeo and Murray the last 2 years

Sign him for unders so we can strengthen the squad for depth for the 8 games he misses every season.

He will need to improve his discipline though for starters and let his footy do the talking.

I would like to see him do more in offence and be known for his all round game rather than just his defence. .

Needs to find some more consistency in his game. I think he can over-do the ball playing at times, he’s at his best when he’s thinking about running the ball and pushing up in support. The ball playing needs to come off the back of that, I understand he needs to play his part in some structured plays but outside of that he needs to be thinking about how he can contribute to our yardage sets more.

For what it’s worth I think Taumalolo & Yeo are the best in the game at the moment.
