It was basically only to see my flat mate at the time mother. Loved the rest of the South Island trip though.

I’ve had some truly epic snowboarding adventures up through Arthur’s Pass. Really miss the place.

Sounds delicious . We didn’t go to Greymouth when we did the South Island as we spent a lot of time in Queenstown / Wanaka / Milford Sound areas.

Would be interested in trying fresh green lip mussels from there, unfortunately you can only get them frozen here in Australia or already cooked and pickled, i don't like them like that but would imagine the fresh product in NZ would totally different just lightly steamed.

Also not sea food i remember going into a couple of supermarkets in the South Island and they had Mutton bird on trays just like we sell chickens here, the Kiwi person i was with said they really are an acquired taste.
Mutton bird…probably better than possum but that’s not saying much. I did try a blue cod when we were there last and it was very nice.

We went to a wild life place last time and at the presentation / show the presenter spent a lot of time going on about how bad the possum problem is there and apologising to the Aussie tourists in the audience.

We had Pedro’s and it was very good. At Queenstown the Fergbaker had the best Boston cream buns and the scenery was amazing like you say. I was constantly going wow. The further south you go the more stunning it was.
