I remember having a drink over 30 years ago with a group of blokes including my father and Warren Ryan when there was only a handful of islanders in the game and I said that one day they would dominate the game as they were perfectly built for it with their size, power and athleticism and I was scoffed at. There is a big population of these countries in our communities and I think it's great that they have embraced their culture and are representing them on a national level which has only benefited the international game.

It was only last month that we saw what happens when you take Teddy out of the team. His workload is immense. He pretty much IS the team.

Suallii will be off to Union then back - hopefully to the Chooks - at some point.

Manu to 6 would be the logical move. Does he have any kind of long kicking game?

The discussion started concerning our ability to retain all 3 at the end of 2024. IMO it may come down to a business decision regarding players longevity and at this stage I see far more upside in re-signing the 2 Joeys. Loyalty from either parties was never a consideration but I admit that it will more than likely play some part in the decision, if it needs to be made.

My comment about 'doing him a favour' was tongue in cheek and is more a reflection on the fickle nature of some posters on this forum who are quick to criticise. There have been times in the 2 previous seasons where Teddy's been criticised for over involvement, trying to do too much and no connection with those around him. I can only imagine what he and the club will cop as he slows and if his form drops off - especially if we retain him over either of the 2 Joeys.

Like I said, its all hypothetical. We wont even get to make, be involved or sway any of the decision makers. The best we can do is punch away on the keyboard and give praise or hurl abuse depending on the outcome.
        Man what a top response.
