Bit late to teach this old dog new tricks. He is what he is.

The club obviously knows what to expect from him & doesn't care that much about his sin bins & suspensions. His presence & intimidation are the trade-offs.

Let's hope he can get through a whole finals series next year without suspension. Unless we play South's again who've worked him out & bait him so easily.

Exactly right. Everyone who plays first grade NRL is tough but not too many have had a genuine fear factor for opponents. JWH has that and obviously has gone too far on occasion. But if the trade off for that is three premierships in 10 years it’s worth every bit of the bad news along the way

I know you all hate it but JWH is one of the biggest grubs in the game & if it wasnt for him at least 2 Premierships wouldnt have happened for the Chooks.
You have to have a dirty, rough, tough JWH style player to win comps. I hope Lodge signs on & becomes a bit more grubby so he can take over from JWH.
JWH is the best & will be sorely missed when he retires.

I think lodge plays the game perfectly, he doesn’t need the extra grub with how scrutinised he is by everyone already, if anyone, I’d like to see Collins bring some mongrel into his game, needs to be known for something.

Lodge is great just the way he is.

Rough and tough can be done legally...no need for grubbery.
