Notice the low points against again last night???

    Only gave up 2 tries.

Last week was nasty, but they are freaks and they chucked the pill about and it all came off for them. And Melba will do that to plenty of others this season, Poocastle didn't fare much better in fact this weekend.

Any coincidence Pearce, Maubs, and Pezzdispenser holding SKids hand again and he looked OK out there in defence???

Adzta, debunking baby, 4-1 so far 20pts and under, MOSTLY.

And to credit Bwaiff he's a very good defender and with Carntey he helps BJ out a lot IMO.

Always thought he could tackle very well.
Pity about the ball service to the outside :/

His defence has never been in question, that's why he'd make a pretty decent 2nd rower.

Well he would have, he's too old to do it now.

Honestly stacey, I thought our defense was a bit shakey at best. First time we let them in to our own 20 they score due to the compressed line BS that continues to rear it's ugly head. The blame is on Tasi for that bone headed play the ball, but our D out wide is a major concern. Kenny Dowall is still, after all these years a liability in defense and Ropati of all people caught us napping. We were lucky last night because the Warriors couldnt hold onto the ball to get them down into our own half. 14 errors on the night from them, majority of them were in their own half. I'd have hated to have been in the same room as the Mad Butcher last night.

Aahh yes but you must admit that our defence was at least part of the reason they kept dropping the pill in their own end??? We applied some great pressure on them all game.

One of their tries came from a silly penalty from Tasi. The other came from a great hole run from that Fish kid.

IMO we did very well to limit them to just two tries.

And I agree SKiD is a a goober in defence, but he's infinitely better with Maubs and Pearce and Pezzdispenser around him.

I still believe MOSTLY this season we will have to rely on good defence to win games. Time will tell.

Our pack muscled up for sure. They put the pressure on. I don't really have an issue with our D in the middle of the field. I think the kids in the pack have done a pretty good job on defense for most of the season. The issue is out wide, where the general IQ out there is below 50 combined (not counting Perrett, we all know he's a smart little cookie).

Really well disciplined defensive effort to keep them in their own end for the majority of the game. Great intensity in the line speed, always back the 10 and all up as one. Good effort in the kick chases too, Pearce consistently first one down there and the boys did well to keep up with him.

We probably could've scrambled a little better on the two tries and certainly should have locked up the ball for the first but apart from that it was a top effort.

That one set where JWH and FPN where smashing anything that came there way would've been the highlight of the game had no neck Archer not penalised us for playing too hard.

I thought last week against Melba we got exposed up the middle in that 2nd 1/2. I can cop that though cos of who did it and the fact we are young in the middle and will make mistakes. And it wasn't from lack of effort IMO, it was just a very smart team exposing a weakness.

I agree with the out wide defence. BJ is very suss IMO, as is SKiD. I think Carntey goes well in defence as does Pezzdispenser. Shame whoever breaks the line scores, Mini is shocking at the back in defence.

After the fish scored they got a couple of penaltys and were hammering our line. I thought at that stage we were in trouble and may get swamped. Our boys toughened up on the line and held them out. Great defense. Great attitude.
