  • Judiciary ruling clears Collins, JWH for earlier World Cup returns

Sydney Roosters prop Lindsay Collins will be available for Australia’s second World Cup match against Scotland after being allowed to include Sunday’s Prime Minister’s XIII match in his suspension.

Roosters front-row partner Jared Waerea-Hargreaves will also be able to include New Zealand’s World Cup warm-up match against Leeds in his ban, enabling him to return in the third pool match against Ireland.

Good news for us, hoping Collins gets a more consistent run next year. Between returning from the ACL, suspensions and head knocks he never really got a chance to build into the year properly.

I'm still a big fan, I know plenty on here disagree though.

rightly so, we get no compensation when our players get injured or suspended in rep games. swings and roundabouts

I am shocked that Collins is in line to play for Australia. Maybe I’m just use to watching real goers like JWH.

I like him too. Prior to doing his ACL he was one of the form front rowers. Never got going this season.

I suspect it may be because a lot of the Polynesians are choosing their island nations and collins playing well in origin

Collins is highly rated by Slater/Smith and Meninga for instance.
