Actually the Dogs signed 3 of the Roosters Jersey Flegg Side - Jacob Preston (Second Row) / Zac Montgomery (Front Row) and Jake Stringer (Lock)

There was a consistent theme of disappointment in the outcome of the season but a real hunger for 2023. Robbo spoke really well about the year and was all class as always.

The award is obviously not just handed out on a whim.
It is almost unbelievable, but not when you look at all the tapes znd see what he does in all games.

DOGS POACH TALENTED CHOOKS


The Bulldogs have continued their impressive build-up for next season by signing two of the best young players in the Roosters system.

Phil Gould's men have poached Roosters Jersey Flegg captain and back-rower Jake Preston and prop Zac Montgomery for next season.

Preston, aged 20, and Montgomery, 19, both had impressive seasons in the Roosters team that finished on top of the Flegg ladder.

The Roosters lost a thrilling semi-final 24-22 against the Knights last weekend but have another chance to book a grand final spot when they face Penrith Panthers in the preliminary final.

We need to ask Suaalii whether or not he's staying long term, and then ask him to sign a new contract.
If he refuses, then it could probably be because he intends to go to Union.
He could then be sent to play for the Bears, and someone could buy xmas present

how do you think penrith feel? its part of being a development club ( which we are )your going to lose some, but hopefully with the right systems you cherry pick the ones you want to keep , and may get them to stay for less due to club loyalty, familiarity, connections ...

Can't keep them all I suppose - Gus is looking at further raiding the Roosters System as well - Tyler Moriarty /Jordan Swann / Ethan King been mentioned as potential further signings by the Dogs.

You can see when Gould was talking about Siua (Josh Wong) Wong being the next big thing that he has his eyes on players in the Roosters pathway systems
