  • The best NRL era Sydney Roosters fullback

Season 2022 marks the 25th season of NRL and I thought it would be fun at the end of the season to have our own Dally M awards and a Chook Pen best team of the past 25 years as voted by our own fans.

I have a shortlist of players for each position but players will only be nominated once which makes it hard for some players who played multiple positions but I feel I have them in their iconic positions and every poll will have an 'other' option so that if you disagree with the poll options you can nominate your own.

The poll winner per position will be award the best of that position and for the positions with multiple players the top 2 will make the starting line up with the third choice prop and second row making the bench as well as the second choice lock and second choice hooker, five-eighth or halfback to make up a utility.

I have tried to space the eras out so some positions which are stacked such as centre might have some players missing as I am not sure how many poll options can be chosen and I want to represent all the way from 1998 to 2022 and not just the last 10 years.

Anyway, who is your best Roosters fullback of the NRL era?

      Definitely Teddy

Mini second. Didn't have the same level of skill / ballplaying as Teddy, but still an all time great.

Walker was a freak, incredible talent. But very inconsistent. I would like to have seen him become a half.

Phillips was the least talented of the 4, but had a huge heart and served us well.

      .........................................

Some forgotten good fullbacks in that list too from recent years that should be in the poll imo:

      RTS
      Michael Gordon
      Ivan Cleary
      Jordan Tansey
      Shaun Foley
