I've been seething about this since Sunday.
Cameron Murray is concussed the previous week and has to pass protocol to play in Sunday's game.
You would think based on last week's symptoms he would have realistically been touch and go to play.
Yet, during Sunday's game Murray is down on his knees clearly showing signs of a head knock and the 'independent' doctor doesn't feel it's necessary for him to be checked for an HIA?
There's something really suss about that and I'm surprised it hasn't been brought up in the media.
I believe the NRL needs to provide more transparency around the in-game HIA and post game passing of protocols.
It was brought up on radio today that the AFL has a mandatory 12 day break for any players that fail an HIA. I believe that the NRL should have the same rules. It's the same brain and some would argue that the NRL has more head contact than AFL.
