  • Milking, something has to be done about it.

Make no mistake, Klein lost control of the game and our players lost their cool because of milking.

The Vermin laying down, coupled with their questionable tackling targets resulted in that farce.

The solution is simple... if you want to lay down to win a penalty you have to go for a mandatory HIA. The players will stop staying down unless genuinely hurt.

Someone just needs to convince that slug V'Landys it was his idea and it will be implemented yesterday.

100% agree with this, I said the same in another post.

There were 3-4 Scum players who laid down, once video review was done and a penalty given they were fine.

Burgess should have been off after 3 head shot. Might have calmed the natives
But Rads did us no favours...got sucked by the dog tactics.

Soon as they belted Teddy out of the game we were pushing shit uphill. Topps was always gonna be a risk.

I'd rather go down than play gutter footy...but still hard

They need to start fining players for milking.
The problem is that the people in charge are so stupid

Yep, been saying it for years. The solution is obvious and not like the current administration can hide behind not wanting to change rules or being cautious.

Stay down, have a rest get checked out. It’s surely a symptom of concussion. I was very surprised Murray wasn’t taken off when he stayed down having failed a HIA only 9 days prior.

If youre so "injured" you literally cannot get to your feet - you go off. Its an easy fix.

They would never do that for a couple of reasons:

1.) They don't wont to punish players who are actually injured
2.) How can you categorically prove who has milked and who is genuinely hurt

That's what makes the mandatory HIA perfect, no player is purposely going to stay down to risk having to go off for an HIA (although the Vermin would probably abuse it for a free interchange).

Don’t have to prove it. If you hold your head and stay down you are off for a check.

What needs to be done with it is we need to start doing it.

tired of this holier than thou “we don’t play for penalties” bullshit. play to the rules and take your advantage.

tired of watching our players get outsmarted every week by teams extracting penalty and penalty out of us while we stupidly just get up and play the ball when we cop cheap shots

Send them to the sideline for 3 minutes to be tested. If they genuinely need an HIA then send a player on or they have to wait 3 minutes to come back on.
A genuine HIA like Teddy, Gus and SST and the dirty c*** Burgess will be no disadvantage. I doubt Trell would have tried to milk the two he had if he was to go off to be tested. That includes the crushers. If the ref misses it so be it. There is no damage 99% of the time and just milking. Genuine damage would be HIA anyway.
The milking is shameful and embarrassing to the NRL.

As I said in the game day thread; RL is contaminated with widespread dishonesty. It is now beyond repair. The ashtray on a motorbike that we call officiating is as useless as an...

When extremely large amounts of money is involved, you are never going to find honest transparency. I was just about to list all of the failings of the game, until I realised that I would still be typing at the start of the 2024 season. We would be better off if we employed some kind of judgement system akin to park cricket, where each game is equally officiated by members/associates of the two teams. Having employees of a large private company make the vital decisions is wrong beyond belief.

The officiating was quite good in the other finals, the ref stayed out of it.

If only Klown did the same with todays match then we would be talking about the game and not all the events that happened.
