tauks has been huge for us and has been one of my favourite players. as great a player as he's been i reckon if he'd been injury free he would have been even better.
sad to see sammy go. same goes for him and injuries only more so. if he wasn't so good we don't win the 2019 comp when jake went down mid season.
roosters heroes both of them and i hope to cheer them at the 20 year reunion

169games for Taukeiaho, I believe that makes him the 16th most capped Rooster of all time. Really can’t understate his value to the club, during his peak right up there with the likes of Taumalolo as the most destructive ball runners in the comp. Hope he kills it over int he super league for another half decade and earns a bag doing so.

Really sad to see Verrills leave, not many players I’ve seen leave the club under Robinson’s tenure where I’ve though I reckon we might have got that one wrong but he is one of those players. I don’t know if we win 2019 without him, just seamlessly came in and replaced Jake Friend. Something we’ve all realised hasn’t been so easy when Verrills has been out.

Love Tauks. He’s been a great servant for the club and we will miss him a lot next season. I’m really disappointed we’ve let Sammy V go and I hope it doesn’t prove to be a mistake. I like Smith as a footballer but I’m still not sold on whether he is the right fit, character wise for the Roosters.

Thank you to all three. It's a pity you had to go out like that.

For sure... respect to them all!

This season will likely be forgotten in history but there was a lot of heart and ambition from these guys. IMO they respected the RWB and are what our culture's all about. Slotting in no matter what and going hard!

We all bought into the dream. While it's over now, it was a bloody good one and we never gave up on it!

I'm personally a big fan of Naiqama and am glad he got to play some finals footy.

As fans we all know what happened to our dream and there's no point over-analysing it at this point. Hope everybody who's moving on remembers the mateship and professionalism of our club though. Nobody should be feeling bad about the efforts they put in this season.

Love them both. Hope they thrive in their next moves and whatever comes next.

I hope Sammy isn’t wasting his career at the Titans. I’m surprised Manly didn’t go hard for him given he’s one of their juniors and the bloke they’ve been banking on finally got pinged for stabbing someone at church

Guess that’s what happens when you are giving half your cap to three players.

SST will leave a fair hole next year. Great middle forward and a true Rooster.

SST has been an amazing servant to the club and should go down as a bona fide Easts legend in my book. 2x premierships and was probably the best prop in the game in 2018-2020. Had those injuries that slowed him down a bit but was still a class forward and one of our best this year. Tough to replace .

Verrills I've made my opinions known previously I think its a mistake letting him go. So much more footy from him and he is all class on and off the pitch. Thanks for 2019 Sammy.
