Here's hoping the Pamfers hold NQ to a very low score tonight (NIL would be great) - even though they're missing a few players. It will be a testament to the great job Walker has done this year to improve his goal kicking and all-round play.

    Leading Point Scorers

    Sam Walker: 209
    Valentine Holmes: 206
    Mitchell Moses: 188
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Does it end tonight or continues during the finals?

pretty sure it ends tonight. can't see holmes kicking less than two goals tonight but sammy has done very well regardless. he's been in the sharp shooter class for the last month and that could come in handy in the tight games ahead.

Oh well, the pipe dream didn't last for long. Holmes scored a truckload last night.

I still have questions about why the Riff were allowed to rest their entire squad. Hope they pay for it in the finals.

His goal kicking has improved out of sight. Well done Sammy. Now to keep it going in the finals.

It’s been done before I know a few teams Brisbane in 2000 rested a lot of players last round Melbourne also in 2011 did it when they were petrified of some of our young lunatic forwards who were going out onto the field with nothing to lose and just trying to hurt their opponents with shoulder charges Ah I miss those good old days

If they beat the Eels they will head into prelim final having only played one game in a month. Then factor in Cleary and Luai being out for many weeks as well.

Yeah it goes against Cam Smith's mentality, which he shared on Bloke in a Bar. Smiddy said in no uncertain terms that he wants to play full strength and have a solid contest pre-finals so that he's in the right mindset for finals.

To me that's how winners prep for big games, they WANT to go hard and play against the best.

IMO throwing the game against the Cows goes against the spirit of competitive sport and it won't surprise me if the Riff get a rude shock when other teams (like us, Unagi and the Drizz) show-up ready to play finals footy.
