In this day and age with Sydney teams fighting for fans there is nothing worse than watching a home game and seeing nothing but empty seats. I'll no longer live in Sydney or attend games so its hard for me to have a go at local fans for not turning up. BUT - what if the roosters went back to a redeveloped Henson Park? Surely a smaller boutique ground along the lines of Leichhardt, North Qld or Manly, those grounds have some life and teams hate playing at them. Imagine the atmosphere!!! Even a 10000 plus crowd would make life hard for visiting teams.

Perhaps the bosses should ask the saints as they redeveloped Kogarah. The Titans (albeit with some dramas) have a new stadium. State government grants, sponsorship, local council, property developers, Sir Nick, sausage sizzels! $2 per sausage minus outgoings is $1.50. 10 million divided by 1.5 is 666666 sausages. We can do it.Last edited by Leaping_McGahan; 03-27-2012, 07:31 PM.

Oh geez not this again, giving up our contract with the Trust for any kind of suburban venue would lose hundreds of thousand of dollars a year.
So we 1) play out of an inferior venue and 2) lose revenue, for what? The crowd to look better on TV? Just no.
