IMO he's worth every cent, but he may well shorten his career by always coming in as the $1m man rather than looking at stuff outside the contract. Means he'll always be carrying the flag for an ordinary team rather than taking a pay cut to be somewhere he wants to be that can afford a bit more talent to back him up with...
