i reckon 3 weeks is about right, there should be zero tolerance for that sort of behaviour in the game . refereeing is a thankless task , but without them , there is no game .

More. They're on $500k+... a lot of training (including physical training) goes into it and it's their job. They're not volunteering to ref 8th division games in some poverty stricken part of town out of the goodness of their hearts.

IMO it's sorta like me arguing that being a lawyer is a thankless job and people shouldn't be able to tell me I'm a shyte lawyer. Toughen up! Find me a job where you don't cop it from people when they get frustrated.

We’ve done it tough with injuries and suspensions don’t want guys doing stupid things and getting further suspended. It lets the entire team down and is selfish. I hope Brandon is coming here to play footy and earn his keep and not sit on the sidelines serving suspensions. We’re paying him to play top footy so I hope he gets that. The refs are extra biased against the roosters so that’s going to be a huge problem for him. He’s only welcome if he sticks to footy.

Your clients could call you a shyte lawyer but could you call the judge a shyte judge though- or could you say to the judge they are dodgy/ a cheat.

Jane and Joe Public can't say that to the Judge either - contempt of court and possible misconduct proceedings against the lawyer- As an example the judge being somewhat like a referee/umpire

You can't call the Ref a cheat and or abuse the Ref physically or verbally fullstop in any way shape or form - what next players being able to deck a Ref and that would be okay because the player was frustrated

They are struggling to find people to be refs and umpires in kids sports as it is because of abusive parents and supporters
