  • Roosters 2022 NRLW Squad Breakdown

Despite the losses the Roosters NRLW squad looks a strong one for the 2022 season as defending Premiers.

Knights and the Bronco's will be co favourites one assumes - Knights signing 5 of the Roosters starting 17 (Southwell/Higgins/Clydsdale( nee Meakes)/Predebon/Karpani) plus Boyle and Upton from the Broncos.

Southwell is a tough loss. She was a real goer. Tackled everything and seemed to be a good on-field leader.

knights have a great pack - apart from the new recruits caitlan johnston looked good in soo.
southwell's a big loss but we've got a very good team esp in the backs. i'll be interested to see if kelleher gets a crack at 5/8 and temara plays as a ball playing lock

Yes that will be the Knights strength for NRLW 2022 for sure - Their backs apart from Upton won't be outplaying/matching their opponents in the backs. So if teams hold their own against their forwards they are a better than good chance of beating them.

This is the first season with a salary cap $355,000 for 24 players so I guess Southwell is a very high profile player especially with her hits so she would have been in demand.
