Good to see Rads back but jeez that bench is light. It would be nice to have Liu and JWH around. Still tipping us, as always but am not confident at all.

As others have said, no Keary is a real concern moving forward. I hope he is okay. Watching Cordner and Friend forced from the sport was bad enough

My brain's too friend to engage with this as we're likely to get smashed and I was up all last night with random leg cramps (never had it before... I had to sleep in one of the guest bedrooms as I kept waking up & rolling outta bed to clutch my leg and be like 'aaaaaw eeeeeeef... the paaaain!!!') Gonna go to bed early tonight as it completely destroyed me.

Hmmm... Walker at 7. Hutcho at 6. Rads and Egan back. Origin boys all backing up. JWH still out with the random issue he picked up at training!

Pundits aside (fark the pundits who talk about gambling/odds rather than footy), I hope we can give it to the Riff like we did to Melbourne. I've come to terms with the fact we're not currently a top-tier team (despite our roster having the talent)... but can't accept that we HAVE to lose this game. We did alright against the Drizz/Eels and IMO this is the game we've been prepping for all season.

No idea what the score will be but IMO we can compete with these cats. Gonna grab a few lagers and (probably) sleep on the couch if we're struggling haha

Penrith are very tough to score against, I can’t see many points coming from hutch playing in the halves, which will mean Teddy trying too hard to make something happen.

          bench looks non threatening.

No JWH, no Keary means we're fukked.

Looks like the standard of bench the Bears would showcase

No Keary no JWH no win against the Premiers.
Why wouldn’t Cleary senior rest all of his origin players?
It would have zero impact on them if they lost.
Cos it would mean no club footy for almost a month since they have the bye the following week also. Unless there are some niggling injuries, may as well play them.

It will be a miracle for the Roosters to win.

When was the last time Cleary was suspended? He seems to avoid suspension better than most.
The tackle he was placed on report for was nothing

Just dont get how we dont name and play Manu at 6 while Keary is out. Would definitely create more points and bring some unpredictable football that we haven't seen in a while

Hate to be a doom-and-gloomer, but don't see a realm in which we beat the Panthers at their home-ground without Keary and Hargreaves. I think we can match anyone in the comp with a fully fit squad, but that just doesn't look like it's going to happen this season - just like the last few years.

Looking at the bench, it goes to show how desperately we need a quality prop or two for next year. Tauks leaving and we are left with two high quality props in Jared and Collins, but if one of them goes down/gets suspended, that's basically it.

Baker is a decent player for instance, but decent in the way that he should be playing 20-minutes or so a game and honing his craft, while the more experienced props do all the primary heavy lifting. Very slim pickings amongst our props next year.

We'll be competitive with the Panthers until we need to use our bench. Panthers by a few in this one.

Very worrisome that Keary hasn't returned yet, too.

So Keary is just ****ed right? Clearly he isn’t going to see out his contract before retiring.

Frankly wouldn’t be surprised if he hangs up the boots by season’s end

Well according to all the SUPPORTERS on here we have no chance. Most of them reckon we will get beat by 20 or more. Wouldn't you love to have them next to you in the trenches. Sure it's going to be tough against Penrith, at their home ground, missing JWH and Keary. I reckon we can still win, and wouldn't that be a huge momentum boost. I see we are out to $5.50, and getting 15.5 start at $1.90. I'll take some of that. Yes we could and should get beaten, but I see no point in predicting a loss, and I don't understand why any SUPPORTER would do it.

Straight to the point this week. I don’t think too many read the dribble I write anyway.

Rads is back, but Keary not named.

That’s a shocking bench.. the blokes saying may isn’t FG standard with his carries yet are happy for baker to “ hone his skills “. Sorry? Am I missing something? Baker has what skills to hone exactly? He jogs it into the line and is always put on his back.. has offloaded once or twice but has tucked it away and doesn’t break any tackles.

                              May deserves a bench spot.
