  • The next 9 weeks is good for us, and we're still in it

    Week off
    Penrith away
    Bye
    Dragons home gosford
    Knights away
    Manly away
    Broncos SCG
    Cowboys SCG
    Tigers SCG

A breather will be good for us. Then we have a run of 6 games that would be considered a drop in class compared to previous weeks. Before Melb away and Souths away.

And I feel as though we are one good 80 minute win away from getting on a nice roll.

We're far from finished I reckon

5 from 7 is not a stretch if the chooks have fully fit squad.

The way our games are refereed, and the way we've played this season, out of that lot we might beat the Tigers at the SCG.
The rest...we lost to Souths, Knights, Dragons, Storm, Panthers.
      Manly, Broncos, Cowboys have improved.
I hope we win every game.
We'll need to improve a lot on our recent form to beat any of them.

Optimism is good but with a cloud hanging over Keary's fitness and Sam Walker still young and developing as a half, I think the rest of this year will be difficult.

Great to see some positivity. We WILL make the 8. And if we have our top team available, we can make the GF. And if we make the GF, we can win it.

it won't be a cake walk but with a bit of luck we'll go alright. one game at a time.
every chance keary will play the season out without getting another head knock and walker can be a match winner - if sitili catches that kick and the team hangs on for the win then sam walker would have been motm v the second best team in the comp.

The bookies are generally a pretty good judges.
They have Panthers, Storm, Cowboys, Eels, Sharks & Broncos making the eight.

They have Roosters, Sea Eagles & Rabbits fighting out for the last two spots with the Raiders & Dragons an outside chance.

We should make one of those last two spots but will only be making up the numbers.
Some of those games we lost to teams fighting for the spoon have come back to bite us on the arse but we aren't close to the top three or four teams this season.

If we beat the dragons, manly and Souths, we make the 8.

Missing the finals won't be such a bad thing. It will be the catalyst for the changes that need to be made. Remember, winning is great wallpaper cause it covers all the cracks. But if you keep losing, it forces you to deal with the cracks.

Isn’t the Souths game at our new stadium? Why is it an away game?

We've had respectable wins against Brisbane, NQ, Parra and Cronulla. I prefer this over the idea of a parallel universe in which we've beaten the Doggies, Knights and Merge.

IMO there's no easy games in professional footy. Anybody expecting one is gonna get belted.

We SHOULD be winning at least 4 of those games, add the 2 pts from the bye and we should be making the 8. I have us running 6th this year. Would be hard to do damage in September from 6th but can be done.

If we can't make the 8 from that run of games, we belong nowhere near the finals and need to use failure as a catalyst for next season and beyond. Some tough conversations to be had maybe?? That being said, "failure" should really be classified as anything but a Top 4 finish if we are being fair dinkum

Souths home game moved to the new stadium.
Souths win, they'll claim the new stadium as their own.
                            The solution is simple...beat them!

Not an easy task given the usually high penalty and set restart count in their favour.

The woman proved it can be done, they got lucky making it into the finals and then went on to win the comp.
But I can't see the man doing it, we are nowhere near Penrith or Storm.
