Feel like this could be a really big game in the context of our season.

Win this and we play the Panthers next which will just be an absolute blood bath of absentees with test match & origin players out.

Then Bye. Then Dragons, Knights & Sea Eagles.

Get up against the Eels, Panthers game will be 50/50, into 2 points from the bye and then 3 games in a row we should be favourites to win. That’s 12 points up for grabs where there is a realistic scenario we grab all 12 points That would take us to 26points with 5 games to go in the season. Typically 4th spot needs 32-34 points so would be 3-4 wins out of the remaining 5 games.

Lose on Saturday night and I think any hopes of top 4 are over.

We will only miss those players if Robbo rests them, more likely clearly will rest his players as they can afford too. But there is almost a weeks rest between origin and our panthers match.

Sorry, you are right there is a full week break after next week.

Shows how little I currently care about the representative scene in Rugby League at the moment.

          All good 6.

is there a reason you don’t care about it? I mentioned origin has lost its aura, but I always watch it.

age may have something to do with not thinking it is as good as it once was for me, 15yrs ago, a group of us would pick a venue or mates house to gather and watch all 3 games, it’d be pizza’s a few beers and $10 buy in for pick the score and man of the match. It was all part of origin. It got harder to get everyone together as each year went by.

now I’m happy to sit at home, as are many others and watch it there, but I really did enjoy going to the Sydney games in 18 and 19.

At my age, I'm lucky to stay awake before kickoff for Origin..and I can't even use my long commute to the lounge room for work the next day as an excuse...it starts later and later every year...as long as no Roosters are harmed in the making of any Origin series, that's all I care about...

Yeh I was saying this last week to a couple of mates. I enjoyed watching the spectacle, it was a very highly quality game but it's lost that raw emotional element of rivalry and violence that it was so famously built on.

Like you I found myself going to the game with 1 mate, when it would usually be a group going to the game or watching it at home with a group and wasn't that mad at the loss.

It used to be the game that no matter whether you enjoyed rugby league or not everyone would want to watch, even the Victorians.

Big fights in the UFC seem to have replaced that get together in my friend group anyway.

The under 19s origin should be a good watch, they are televising it next Thursday. Robert Toia, Xavier Va a.and Xavier Chatfield Mooka are all part of a 28 man squad for QLD last month. Hopefully they all make the 17 for the game.

Tyler Moriarty in NSW squad too… did not see Joshua Wong on the list? SGBall Player of the Year… I assume he must be injured… but, great to see a healthy representation of young Roosters coming through at Origin level for this age group… can only be good for the future for the Mighty RWB!

I love SOO & never miss watching a game but if you asked me if any SOO game was better than the 2018 Prelim final at the SFS Roosters v Souths or the 2018 GF or the 2000 Prelim final at the SFS Roosters v Knights or the 2003 Prelim at the SFS Roosters v Dogs or the Roosters v Manly semi final that was 4-0 Id say no.
They have been the best games of footy that I have ever seen.
