    That's to be expected thou.
I'd be happy to release both and sign HAAS

Depth in Hutch, Marschke, Watson, Roberts, Butcher boys, Whyte, etc.

Separately, what do we think Crichton is worth? His form is certainly down this year compared to last year, but i have no doubt that is due to the shift from left to right. Is $650k-$700k realistic?
In all honesty. Based on his current form, not the so called "market value" ... Angus should not be getting a cent over $600k MAX and I'm really be generous here !

In comparison, Viliame Kikau is on approx. $630k with the Panthers at the moment and he's definitely earning every cent and dollar of his salary.

In regards to Verrills leaving, unfortunately it is collateral damage and sort of expected due to the arrival of Smith at Bondi next season. With Watson as the utility and Hutch as backup/18th man, there was a very small chance Sam Verrills was going to retain his sport and unfortunately he hasn't been anywhere as good as he played in 2019 since his ACL injury and a list of many more that has sadly followed.

Indeed.Only have to get a pen and paper and start adding up all the contracts of the players.
Teddy and Manu, there's $2m of the cap gone already.

Anyone know exactly what the cap is today?

Tapine is rubbish and if the faiders are paying him $750K then good on them.
The Faiders were rubbish at the beginning of the season and still are.
They have won a few games against mediocre opposition.
They beat a Roosters side minus JWH, Collins, Teddy, Toops and Rads.
And they will fall off a cliff before the end of the season - believe me.
The only good forwards they have are Papallii and Adam Elliot
Elliot is going next year, so they will be a bigger basket case next year, than they are now.

I wouldn’t mind if Verrills is released to keep Angus, who hasn’t been flash or living up to his old form, but the talent is there and hopefully will click once his inside men click, also have him on one side and stop switching with Sitili, it’s not doing either a favour .

Tapine is rubbish? Did you not see him split our forwards a new arsehole on the weekend?

Was reasonably keen last year hearing Tapine news. After his performances this year and in particular the last 6 weeks, I’d be stoked to get him.

Looks to be building into some player and coming into his peak.

750k? The Raiders are a bigger basket case then I first thought. For that amount of money, no thank you, he’s a 500k tops FRF he’s laughing then.

Lets not get carried away with his great performance against a Roosters side missing 6-7 first graders.
This post is similar to the Munster post, where everyone sang Munster's praises until the Storm fell in a heap without Hughes and Paps.
When Tapine gets MOM honours in round 17 and 21 , you can let me know how good he is.
However, if Tapine and the Raiders get slaughtered in those weeks , against some decent opposition, (which I fully expect to happen) , it will be a case of I told you so.

Chrichton’s not worth more than $400k for what he offers in my opinion. He puts in a great performance occasionally but lacks consistency and makes too many mistakes I reckon.

The Salary Cap currently is 9.4 million - the new 5 year CBA has yet to be finalised to determine the salary cap for 2023 onwards- reports are saying it could rise to 10 million in 2023?.

There is also a salary cap of 5 million for clubs football departments

All clubs are required to spend 95% of their salary cap each year

Nonsense. He is leading our forwards in nearly every stat if you want to compare on an individual bases. He’s always been a player with potential and has burnt us a few times actually I remember he had a great game against us in the final at the SCG in 2020. He is quality no doubt.

You don’t hear much about him because he is playing for Canberra.

It will be a shame to see Verrills go but it’s to be expected with Smith coming. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up, just don’t play well against the Roosters.
