Likewise, even Freddy Lussick who did get picked up by the Drags and later Warriors has barely played a first grade game in two years post-Roosters.
Mate, I hear ya and I agree that Ben Marschke isn't really a first grade standard hooker but he's a 'genuine' hooker nonetheless. All I'm saying is that it's just not working with Hutch and Watson and we might get away with that option against the lesser sides (in some games we've also lost to lesser sides as well) but surely Marschke is better than Hutch and Watson for the dummy-half duties, not to mention he's pretty reliable for 40+ tackles per game at least.

I wish Sam Verrills was fit and firing as I had big hopes for the kid this season but the kid can't catch a break !

His only problem is giving away too many 6 agains and penalties but is aggressive and intimidating..for my money he is a must ....Just got to curb down those mentioned errors and is capable of 50 tackles .
Our current hookers are dead give aways where the ball is heading..too easy for the defense. Friend was always square at the play the ball and you would not know of wether he was going left or right,,,scoot off or put a kick in.
This is definitely our first fall over point. The repair starts here.

As I have said numerous times they have to find a level of play as a team and as individuals that they can produce week in week out over 80 minutes.

Not sure what the coaching staff and players themselves are doing about it though as there must be reasons for these peaks and troughs in games that as yet hasn't been addressed.

There is certainly a correlation between the increase in errors - i.e handling errors/missed/tackles/ill discipline and the drop in the standard of play in games both as a team and as individuals.

Is it a fitness issue or a mental issue as both go hand in hand if players are under fatigue - concentration lapses which are having an impact on the basics of the game.

If you had watched any bears games you would see Naiqama is clearly not up to it with regards to defense and bringing the ball back. I can see this as a casual that goes to the home games. Egan Butcher clearly looked short of a run in the previous Bears game as he still coming back from injury. Don’t then bring him into first grade a week later and expect him to play well . Momo is similar if not worse then AK, there was no need to recruit another outside back when we him, Smith and Carr at the Bears. I worry Robbo can only win comps with elite players ( SBW, Cronk etc) but not when he needs to take average players to the next level, I.e what Melbourne seem to do.
Yea and Peps record is worse than Robbo’s

Bellamy has lost a stack of top line players but still gets his team playing consistent footy for the last decade or so.

Last 9 years Grand Finals 3-2 in favour of Robbo including a B2B which Bellamey never achieved.

100% Rasta man, He pushes them all year without any plan except next week and won't cop rubbish performances. Robbo like Bennet is totally different and plans a season, managing each week and growing/preparing for the run to finals and beyond,,, All 3 are fantastic coaches

Apparently we all now miss Latrells direct running game when every 2nd week there was a thread about him not taking enough runs.

                          Our biggest issue is:

                          No Rads, JWH or Verrills

No flick pass? Really? Maybe you should watch Manu a little closer next time

Ok fair enough your right on that but Manu still runs around defence's where Lattrell would crash through them.....I still miss him...& no I don't want to go follow the rabbits to watch him.

Robbo’s plan over the past few years has basically been to write away the first part of the season and ramp up near the end but that has come back to bite him every year. For me, it breeds laziness as the players arent learning to play for 80 minutes. We are a team that play ‘in moments’ rather than control the whole match.
