  • Freddy and Sam - a winning combo.

There would have been a few noses out of joint here after seeing Slamming Sam recruited to motivate the Blues. Freddy was fulsome in praising Dewsbury's contribution to the game and also, presumably, to his class. No doubt he talked to the boyz about winning against the odds and how to monster vindictive old bullies and their lying daughters. Get Qld "fearing for their lives" just like the old Rugby father in law did.

I personally couldn’t care less what Sam has done off the field but I when he played there was no one better & any footy head would agree.
Good luck to Freddy for inviting him into the inner sanctions of the Blues, SOO is as tough as it gets & Sam was as tough as you get so hopefully the Blues take something away from it & get the win on Wednesday night.

Fark him..... A leopards never changes its spots! Pommy Sam may have been tough on the field but IMO he was a grub and his history of indiscretions precedes him.
We wont delve into his charades off the field.

He and Freddy's are grand mates that's all it is. A manly gesture to aide and kick start his coaching prospects.
He should fark off back to Mother Land and coach there.

The blues can brush up on their "squirrel gripping" techniques.

Burgarse will no doubt be advising the NSW team on how to send pictures via social media and Facebook , for laughs.
Next he can even advise the team, on techniques to keep unruly spouses and relatives in check.

I almost want NSW to lose now that they have been associated with Burgess. Made me sick seeing him decked out in NSW gear. How's Cords these days?

Surely idiot Fittler could have come up with a better ambassador. Isn't it all about being good on AND off the field? Just shows that Fittler really has got shit for brains. What a terrible judgement call.

Was he all cocked up on his drive to meet the team?

I do hope you mean 'coked' up? Not that I approve of that either...

Innocent till proven guilty and Sam was declared innocent. You guys are unforgiving and often quite Puritan which is the slippery slope to hypocrisy.

There is no actual legal verdict of 'innocent'. It's either 'guilty' or 'not guilty'. This part of the forum is about Roosters, not State of Origin...do you really expect people to speak kindly of an ex Souths player on a Roosters forum, regardless of personal habits, behaviour etc...?

JWH got the better of Sam in most of their clashes. Just saying...

                          An infinitely better human, too.

True enough dear lady, not guilty is the correct form . It is an appropriate post though I would argue, Freddie being a favourite son risen to prominent coach and all. It is also true that Souffs are not universally disliked on this site. There is shared history - the late Rocky Laurie being another veteran belonging to both.

Don't know what he can bring to the blues since he's never played origin....
Whatever it takes , I hope it works for Freddy and NSW
