Sydney Roosters utility Mitch Aubusson claims the return to action of New Zealand Test centre Shaun Kenny-Dowall will add the match-winner that has been missing from the NRL club's backline.
"He somehow seems to pull the big play out and we're looking forward to having him back," said Aubusson, who has been forced to shift to the forward pack to accommodate Kenny-Dowall.
"He's a world-class centre for us and he's also a leader without being in the leadership group."
Kenny-Dowall will play his first game of the season after suffering a lacerated kidney during a training mishap last month.
With highly-touted youngster Tautau Moga - who excelled during the trials - still sidelined due to an ankle injury, the Roosters have been without two of their strike weapons for the opening two rounds.
The lack of firepower was exposed against Penrith on Sunday when they were held scoreless. Aubusson said he didn't expect Kenny-Dowall to take too long to find his feet.
"He's been back for a couple of weeks now," Aubusson said.
"With his injury, it's more about making sure it's had time to heal. It can't really limit him from running. He's been working hard on that.
"I'm sure he's confident and the way he's been talking around training, it's good to have his energy back."
The Roosters came back to earth with a thud following their round-one escape act against South Sydney, but Aubusson was hopeful the shutout against the Panthers did not dent the confidence too much.
"You have to go over your mistakes, work on what you need to fix up and take some confidence out of the game, wherever that may be," he said.
"A lot of the guys will be doing a lot of individual video and work on those things they need to fix up and also be reassured that they are doing some things right."
