  • Nat Butcher

This seems to be a perfect opportunity for Nat to show his true abilities filling in Rads' shoes. Would love to see him bring back his offload from his junior days, but if Nat can keep this lock spot for 6-8 weeks it could do him wonders. Am expecting some big minutes for him, maybe not as much as Radley's but maybe around the 55-65 minute mark. Really solid defender, would like to see abit more of his running game.

What are your guys' thoughts? Do we expect him to keep the role for the duration of Rads' injury and playing some big mins?

Also how do you guys reckon the lock rotation will work, I can't seem to work it out

I just want to see Watson get some time at 13. He is a terrible 9 but could really provide some spark at 13.

With Rads out, I'm hoping to see Kez and Sammy Walker keeping the opposition defence guessing more from first receiver

I thought it might work trying Angus at 13, sharing with Watson.................but I'm happy to put it in the too hard basket and trust Robbo.

Reckon we’d see Gus’ best through the middle. With one of the Butcher boys on the edge

Butcher will not have the same impact as Radley but his defense is more effective, rarely misses tackles and has the ability to be in the right place. His best asset in attack was in contact when he was young,
since being first grade he hasn't had the confidence to bring it out.

              I agree.
              Let him attack, attack, attack.

Then Nat comes on at either lock or 2nd row.

I think it's obvious that Sitili will be omitted from the side at some point either today or before kick-off but I would've prefered Ben Marschke to start at Hooker and have Drew Hutchinson at Lock with Watson on the bench as utility (who can rotate/come on at either Lock, Hooker as you'd expect or even the Halves if required). Leave Nat and Angus on the edges for defence.

It's about bloody time that Marschke gets a run who is a proper "hooker" !

I don’t think that Nat has anything to prove to anybody. He has well and truly cemented his position in our top 17 and despite all his knockers will always be there.

I agree with you mate but also think he's started the season off relatively quiet. Would love to see him make more of an impact starting this week.

Its funny, I've never noticed Marschke as an attacking player.

But he is leading the NSW Cup in Line Break Assists currently

I think Marschke's 'attacking prowess' would go to another level playing in a spine with Kez, Walker and Teddy !

I wish he would bring his offload back. So prolific in Toyota cup. Haven't seen it since.
