These guys make out like they speak to Uncle Nick every week who tells them all about our internals, who we want to sign, who we want to get rid of and what we are paying everyone.

True, and the Morris contracts have been replaced by Momo and Watson. As for Cords and Jake, most of that has been taken up by recent new contract upgrades for Keary Walker Collins Joey Teddy Egan and Sitili. With Smith Coming and no doubt a significant pay rise to keep Sualli makes it very hard to see how Angus stays on anything but a massively reduced deal.

We've let go Lussick and Moala Graham-Taufa from the full time squad and Volkman from a Development contract.
There are rumours theat Tom Carr and Terrell May have been promoted into the fulltime squad. Any truth to these rumours ?

There is definitely talk within the Chooks hierarchy about signing a superstar 5/8 if things dont pan out with the Keary Walker combo over the next 7 weeks.
Keary is in the sights of the Dolphins I think which the Roosters would know because if they are eyeing off Munster they will make sure Keary signs a very lucrative contract with the Dolphins.
SST & Im tellings youse blokes like Lam, Keighran, Verrills, Naiquama & possibly Whyte & Tuku wont be at the club next year not all of them but at least 3 of them will get better offers elsewhere like the Dolphins.
The Chooks will keep Angus after they release a couple more players.

Yes, Burton has more upside. Bigger body, younger, strong in-field play kicking game, decent enough with the boot to kick goals. There's also rumours of him possibly returning to Penrith if To'O and Stephen Crichton sign with The Dolphins but honestly why would you want to return so you can play centre ?


I would definitely be chasing Burton as Keary's successor !

Why would we consider signing Munster in the first place?

Repeat offender with social behavior, has Braith Anasta as his agent and the best investment we have is Sam Walker in the meantime in which we are building a team around.........

Keary is the best role model and mentor for Sam Walker for the couple of years as one Keary retires then Walker is the man who will control and guide this team to premiership glory.

I would like for the club to pursue on Payne Hass for 2024 for when JWH retires.

These players are on peanuts and then are replaced by players on peanuts. Getting rid of 5 guys on 200k doesn’t give you 1M to spend on 1 player.

its all a bit odd this is coming out from nrl 360, pushing the Keary is leaving cause hes the issue narrative.

then at the same time have Braith, Munsters agent, saying we want him. bit on the nose, trying to force the storm and dolphins to offer deals sooner.

It wasn't that long ago, they were saying we had a but of room to spare.

We have lost/let go Cordner, Friend, Morris, Morris, liu, Volkman, lussick, ikuvalu in the last 12 months.

although we are getting Brandon Smith next year, we are also losing SST and then JWH the following year. Unless, Keary and teddy are on 1.5 million each I think they'll be able to solve this issue (if there is one) pretty easily.

My thoughts also. The boys club just trying to get a better deal for one of their mates (Anasta). Also, I'm not certain, but i get the feeling Anasta isnt happy with the Roosters since he left.

Theres no doubt Keary is still one of the best halves in the game. I'm not sold on him playing 7, but hey, give it a bit more time.

The only way this may be true is if we are chasing a big name. I cant see us getting in cap trouble just from upgrading contracts and signing Brandon Smith (a deal that would have taken into account Cordner, Friend, etc.).

I watched NRL360 and I am reading the lines differently to a few of you.

I hear Braith say that there has been no communication between them and the roosters and it's all media BS so far.

I also heard Kent say that Robbo denied any thought of signing Munster.

Kent also said IF Politis wanted Munster they would move players to try and get him. That's a BIG IF.
