We could try Watson there when he gets back, he’s probably the closest thing we have to a Maubs type utility this season. I just had a left field thought that Hutchison could have a go, he’s not fast but he’s a big body, good defender, runs good lines on short side raids & has a good long kick (reasonable grubber as an option play).

we need some more punch from the forwards to create space for the backs, teddy cant do it all himself.

Maubs could sure fill in anywhere and keep it tight couldn't he? Always knew his way to the tryline too.

Respectfully have to disagree. Hutch is no Maubs. Maubs could hold his own as a centre, but personally I think Hutch is just to slow to play in the outside backs.

My first preference would be to give Momo a little more rope. He did win a comp here after all. Otherwise JS would probably be the next choice. But that would mean moving him away from Manu, which I don't really think would be ideal

Mid-season signing (Wing or Centre) or AK has to be the go for me this season. Herbie Farnworth would be ideal but it would probably be too pricey. Maybe Corey Oates if we can get him cheap enough. TBH when you look at off-contract backs, it doesn't particularly inspire. George Jennings is another, Aitken maybe. Call me crazy, but I'd take Matterson back as long as he doesn't ask for too much. i've always really liked matterson

After today's game, if we have the money, I definitely would spend up to 550 on him. Would move straight into starting 2nd row, or even centre if we don't sign someone. I even think that he could suit the lock position really well, tho we have Rads so maybe not. Ik there's no point about speaking about this, but hes off-contract end of the year, if we could re sign him, it is possible we could arrange for him to join mid-season. Probably not, but oh well, might as well hope.

I think I read somewhere a Matto linked to the Dolphins article. But at the moment, it seems every off contracted player is linked to 'going to the Dolphins'. Won't come cheap. Left us chasing $$$, and the Dolphins are probably the only ones with spare cash in the cap.

watson can be a match winner at 14 so i'd stick with one of momo, billy or suaalii. momo and billy in a contest to make the 13.

Ive always been a fan of Billy Smith but you have to admit the guy is so injury prone that he's sort of a liability.
I also believe because of all the hype that Suaalii could be a strike centre & I like the thought of that. He could be in the Inglis, Latrell league but he also could be in the Tau Tau league, I hope bloody not.
I always like it when a young bloke steps up in the centre position & starts playing top FG straight away. Latrell was the best but there have been others like Terry Hill & David Smith (Mickie Lane). Even Adam McDougall when he first debuted as a youngster played strong in the centres for the Roosters.

You want Suaalii to be Suaalii and not the next whoever though.

He will be playing wing for quite sometime when playing NRL.

I get the feeling that Fullback maybe his best position going forward once he completes a kind of extended NRL apprenticeship on the wing i.e similar to Anthony Minichiello - 3 years on the wing 2000/2001/2002

Tedesco will be 32 by the time the 2025 Season rolls around- Tedesco's current contract expires in 2024.
