  • Roosters best signing: C. Bellamy !!

Brian Smith got extremely lucky with his multi million dollar 4 / 5 year contract especially with never winning a comp.
The Roosters need to chase Craig Bellamy hard and should throw anything at this guy and sign him for 5 years or more.

Look at the successful teams and there coaching structures, MANLY still have there core squad just like the Roosters in the early years of 2000 when we changed coach we still had the structure so until they lose players you wont see much change under Toovey.
WARRIORS in the same boat, BULLDOGS and Hasler bought his successful team across and are showing good signs, PENRITH and Cleary bought david fairleigh across and Ron Palmer who he has worked with at the Roosters previously.

NEWCASTLE and Bennett well he is bringing the whole of St George over to Newcastle.
Brian Smith brung his son to keep him employed and others who had NO success at Newcastle to the Roosters and only THANKS to Braith's field goal against the Tigers and TODD CARNEY did we string massive games together to make the GF in 2010.

We need to throw everything at bringing Craig Bellamy to the Roosters so he can bring his successful structure and staff.
We cant rely on big signings like J.Maloney and SBW/D.Lussick if true, to succeed under the coaching structure we have at the moment.

Bellamy will eventually want to move back to NSW and we should be making it possible with an offer he cant refuse, im sure Nick can do a deal.

I think we stop signing big names on the field and concentrate on signing a top coach. Top coaches like Bennett, Bellamy and now Hassler have the ability to get the best out of players. Brian might be a good coach but the fact that he has never won a premiership might be his flaw in getting players to fully commit. It's no wonder that some big names want to play for a coach rather than play for a team. If SBW has to decide where to play, will he choose a club or coach?

Lets hope this is the case i have a funny feeling we will have a new coach cause i can't see SBW wanting to play under Brian Smith.

            He will choose the cash.

              I agree.

To use a metaphor; you can have the greatest car in the world, but if it's being driven by a twit, then it's going to crash.

Ad lib footy is not going to get us to where we need to be. We got lucky in 2010 because Carney had a blinder of a year.

Typical Bellamy work in progress - Smith take note

                      NRL

                      Melissa Woods
                      March 12, 2012 - 10:

                      AAP

Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy believes his pack can match any in the NRL but the addition of former Test prop Jason Ryles will be a huge plus.
Ryles made his Storm debut in their hard-fought 24-10 win over South Sydney on Friday night, coming off the bench.

Cut by the Sydney Roosters after a disappointing 2011 season, Ryles impressed his new coach making 25 tackles and Bellamy said he would only get better.

I agree with all that 100%, we have a terrible playing structure. As for Bellamy there is some quiet work going on, that I can confirm.

Surely if you were in a position to know that, you would not post it on an internet forum as fact...

                            Wayne Bennett ring any bells..??
