Drew is the Female version of the Male Andrew or Andy name and can also be both a Female and Male name - Unisex name as they say nowadays. i.e Drew Barrymore US Actress and Drew Hutchinson Sydney Roosters NRL Player.

Kim for an example is both a Female and Male Name or unisex name as well - i.e Male Kim's - Kim Hughes former Test Cricket Captain and player/ Kim Beazley former Australian Politician and Female Kim's - Kim Craig (Kath and Kim ) / Kim Brennan ( Rowing-3 time Olympian and Olympic Gold Medalist )

Hearing that Suaali was a stand out especially in yardage coming out of our own end.

        Can't be long...

Joseph Suaalii.. my goodness he puts on that same step as RTS did coming out for hit ups.. he also earned a couple of penalties for his side tonight out of good yardage. Can’t wait till he’s in the side.

ALSO - Terrell May. He is one to watch, was outstanding with his Carries tonight so hard to put down and has an awesome offload as well as Tuku again.. dropping him short near the try line is a cheat code as he is so huge.. set up a try with a nice late offload after 4 blokes were trying to tackle him. Lol

I thought Suaali was okayish but not a game you would be considering him for NRL on.

Needs to be involved a lot more and in my view is not at a level required for week to week NRL at this stage of the season which he will need to be.to be considered. He wouldn't be replacing Smith or Naiqama one has to say.

Lam had a good game and scored a cracking solo try.

Norths didn't seem to get out of 2nd gear for most of the match and only started to really play when the score went from Norths up 12-6 to them being behind 18-12- got a touch of luck when a Wests player was sin binned as well in the 65th minute - 18 all then - ended up 28-18 Norths

Lam was very good. Apart from sharpness in attack he displayed his good short kicking game. Doesn't seem to use that in firsts strangely though.

Other guy to impress was May, tireless effort.

Lam more likely under instructions perhaps to leave the kicking to others? - bit like dummy halves don't run or kick at the Chooks in the NRL under Robbo

One of the benefits of having Drew Hutchison getting into dummy half is his kicking game. There should be more of it.

Two things at least that trouble the Chooks in defence is a running dummy half and offloads - things the Chooks hardly do.

Easiest position to kick from is dummy half rather than one of two of the ruck as the defence is on top of the player kicking the ball in those situations and most players at marker rarely get involved in the next play creating time and space for the dummy half to kick.

I saw Terrell May in the trials & thought he was really good especially carrying running the ball.

His best mate who he went to Kings with who plays for Parra that wasnt talked up anywhere near Suaalii is going great guns.'
So Suaalii will have to play on the wing then if he comes into the side & it worries me playing him on the wing, its such a physical position now to play & Im not sure like Billy Smith if they are up for the brutality, I hope Im wrong.

Suaali is a very physical player, I've got no concerns over whether he will handle it physically. My biggest concern is how long he will enjoy playing on the wing for us before clubs start offering him starting fullback roles.

These clips of him coming out of our own end last night are very promising.

I agree with you 100% there, he came looking for the ball plenty last night but in attack he was left out fair too often - albeit this is norths but I still feel he is too good an attacking threat to be left on the wing. He still has not taken his PO yet and is on his last year with us hopefully we can hear some news soon regarding this

Not sure the way to go is to use him as some sort of battering ram or extra front rower as he was used as in last nights game - need to see more of him in attack as a back one feels - still working his way towards NRL level in my view - not there yet.

Then again playing him that way maybe part of a plan to toughen him for the rigours of week to week NRL.

                                Still only 18 - Turns 19 on August 1st

As far as positions go most likely will play on the wing in NRL - Anthony Minichiello started out on the wing and played 3 NRL seasons (2000/01/02) in that position before taking over the fullback role from Luke "Diamond" Phillips in 2003.

I would see him playing a similar role to Toops role if he is playing NRL which i assume will also be on the wing- right wing
