  • Pearce excuses

    Yeah - yada yada.
Sad fact though is that today our SOO half had a woeful game in attack.
He is the opposite of Lockyer. World beater in defence, un-creative and predicable in attack.
I don't know if he squares up with all the hype.
    I think he's a lock or centre.

Carney made him look good in 2010.
And not because Carney is 100 times the player, but a player like him suits Pearce in the halves..Anasta? not so much.

We have a pathetic forward pack that gets owned every week. That's the real problem.

Combine that with SFA for support play and yeap our halves are going to look inept.

It is a circle of ineptitude.

Although to be honest, if we could replace players in one area I think most of us would pick the outside backs.

With some strike outwide I really do think we'd be a much better side.

Bullshit Melon, we had as many if not more chances than the riff today and we were as creative as a corpse

It is about time everyone stops making excuses for the bloke

            He just isn't that good

Mate blame him all you like the rest were weak as piss...dropping ball....getting owned in the ruck. Yep Pearce wasn't without blame....he wasps effective as a brick, or Soward.

The problem with this team is...the forwards and Anasta.

Its so funny watching all of u b!tch about our forwards after all the hype in the pre season. Don't worry they'll come good.

On a side note...... Fark off Braith!

Totally correct Melon... Add to that a backline that should be at the Jets then we've got bugger all to look forward to...
even Andrew Johns would look mediocre behind that pack today.... And NO that is not in defence of our halves... Just a statement

                        Simple wuestion

Did we have as many chances as the riff to score??????

                        Did we score???

                        Any repeat sets forced???

everyone is quick to jump on the bandwagon because last week he got involved and done something after 78 mins.

Today he done fark all for 80

He was owned by a rookie last week and an ordinary one dimensional halfback today.

The only decent season he has had was on the back of the drunk one's brilliance

He has played 100 1st grade games FFS

Start holding the prick reponsable for his own actions

We hada tonne of chances to score....did Pearce screw up those chances? He dint even have the ball on first and second tackle knock ons for ****s sake...but let's blame him anyway. You can't hold him any more responsible than mini or bj or carney....and of course...one dimensional Anasta. Pearce tempted to spark them with thy 40/20 but th bounce didnt go his way. Why? He tried this because he was alone today...no support, no interest and plenty of errors that didn't involve him.....but let's blame him anyway.
                          And a soft forward pack.

That's probably a bit harsh but near enough to absolutely spot on..

Why should Pearce be totally blamed for our inept performance in attack

when clearly somebody with a 6 on his back should take a lot of the responsibility?

Maybe some on here reckon the 6 is only a passenger and the entire driving be done by the 7..

At least Pearce was visible and trying (whether it worked or not)... Anasta wasn't even on the field ..was he?

Yes Pearce did screw up those chances, a woeful kicking game, mid field bombs, ball going dead, inside balls to heavily marked forwards.

                              he is the Halfback

                              He is the organiser

                              He is an Origin player

He is no longer a kid

He calls the shots, he should have the ball every farken play inside their 20

That is no-one else's fault but his own
