The trouble is, with the salary cap increasing next year, the top tier players are expecting to get a large percentage of the increase, rather than increase ALL the player payments.
If anything, it causes a bigger problem for the clubs, trying to get some sort of reasonable $ to be accepted.
Player agents continually stirring the pot add to the problem. But that is to be expected, given the self interest.
