It seems the NRL only take things like seriously when it involves an aboriginal. Could you imagine if the person was aboriginal?
It's not hard to treat all folk with respect irrespective of race/background/sex/religion etc etc - but to some on here's it's woke to do so - dinosaurs still exist. Should have owned up to it when it happened simple as that

Regardless of what you think of something that is pretty open and shut case of casual racism, I think it goes to measure of the man. One of the greatest in the modern era to lace up the boots but not much going on upstairs. Never really came across as a leader on the field or off it, not sure why there is a constant need in the game to make the best player in the team captain, sometimes they are just not suited to it. Speaks to his integrity and the fact the club backed him I am sure will raise a few eyes around Politis' entourage now he has come out with a heavily scripted mea culpa.

All in all a very minor incident, no violence or threats involved or anything like that, just a few inappropriate words said late at night when everyone's been on the drink. Made into a much bigger deal by the holier than thou media who are an absolute embarrassment.

Perhaps the most misguided first post in the history of this forum. Quite an achievement.

I'm not even sure what this means? He said he didn't say it - whole club backed him and then he came out and said that he did say it? No one forced him to, it was hardly a story in the media and neither is his comment today - but hey maybe you're one those blokes that don't hold themselves to account for their own actions? Everyone else's fault hey, mmmmm?

There doesn't have to be violence and threats though - the old on the drink excuse an often used excuse as is drugs for people's behaviour.

Would you feel the same way if sponsors starting dropping the chooks though ? - When it happened he should have owned up to it so why all these denials? - maybe not a big deal to you but it was for the young women though - the old put yourself in their shoes scenario.

He made an off colour remark while drunk and trying to be funny. Let's move on.

If only that argument held up well in in this instance hey?

He was with a group of friends and randomly blurted out “ squid games “ and laughed how is that even funny?

Love teddy don’t get me wrong our skipper and all but gee it is a very poor look on our club.. we are way more professional than what we showed on this instance and only makes that generic “ oh the roosters got their way again “ feeling around our club get even worse.

Problem lays in the fact we allow it to be this way.

Lay off the spicy meatballs mate and stop replying to your own posts. For someone who craps on a beloved player of ours for not being veery bright, you sure aren’t doing yourself any favors.

The fact sponsors haven't pulled out shows how minor an incident it was. But of course the holier than thou brigade - of which you sound like a card carrying member - just have to keep reminding the rest of us how awful everything and everyone is. If that's the worst thing that ever happens to the young girl involved, she'll have done well.

Such a minor thing on the grand scale of JDB and Hayne incidents - why lie about it an get everyone else in the club to stick up for him? Beloved, sure one of the best to wear the tri-colours, maybe just be the leader that he so often is telling the media that he is? Maybe too much to ask? Integrity is what you do when no one else is watching, wouldn't see aubo, JWH or cords shying away from childish mistakes.
