As time passes Mitchell’s NP disorder is clearly evident by his words and behaviours.

Trial games and the Indigenous game should count towards games missed due to being suspended. As after all you can be charged and suspended after those games.

It's a farcical situation when suspended players are allowed to play in pre-season trial games,

I agree, if you can be suspended in trial games, then they should also count as time served for suspensions, another reason trial games are a necessary evil.

not sure of official rules, but I’m sure players have had trials games included in part of their suspension, and I think the charity shield has also been included beforehand, I see no issue with it.

As 6 mentioned earlier, he will probably do something silly in rd 2, and be suspended for our game anyway.
Trial games were able to be used for suspensions up to around 2014 or so - that changed from 2015 or so onwards - The NRL no longer allows clubs to count pre-season trials or the Auckland Nines as part of a player’s suspension.

Who remembers when Balmain flew Steve Roach to England to reduce his suspension so he could play in the 1988 Grand final vs Canterbury.

            * Steve Roach (Balmain) - 1988

Went as far as to fly to England to be named for Warrington for the final two games of his four-match ban for a high shot on Chris Mortimer in the Tigers' fifth-spot playoff against Penrith. But the NSWRL blocked the matches from counting leaving Roach to listen to his side's loss to Canterbury on the radio from the other side of the world.

Is it a bad sign that the season hasn't started yet and I'm already bored by the crap that's going on?

Latrell will continue to miss big games f he doesn't change his attitude.
All he has done with those comments is put a massive target on his back .
That's a big red flag already for the coach , I already feel he's not in charge at souths

I just want to see Jarred and Vic punish him in Round 3.

I think Latrell will have an even bigger problem come Round 3. He will have to face JWH, SST and Colins who mind you were very furious on the sidelines when it happen last year...

Can someone clarify this for me?

Was he originally picked for the All Stars game? Cause Critchton's suspension last year was severed quicker because he was selected for Game 1 so therefore that match counted, but I was very sure Latrell was not selected for the All Stars game?

Whenever we go after a player it backfires on us. I would much prefer we go after them on the scoreboard and leave the emotion and personal vendettas out of it.

Yeah you're right that he wasn't selected for the All Stars because he was still under suspension . What a farce that a suspended player can have his sentence reduced for a game he couldn't play because he was suspended FFS

How incredibly stupid and weak to allow trials or all stars games to count. Watering down the penalty when you're trying to make the penalty a proper deterrent? The first thing you never do.

Finals games and the games at the end of the regular season are the biggest and most important games of the year, and we're letting bad foul play in those big end of season games that can take a star player out and influence the result get watered down by letting the offenders use a pre season made up rep game the following season count towards their suspensions? Farking ridiculous.

Especially when one is a rep game that not everyone has the chance to be picked for. It doesn’t matter how good Teddy or Turbo are, they can never play in the all stars game, so they couldn’t have any suspension reduced like one of the indigenous boys. That’s not equitable.

Can players who play in the all stars match, be suspended for regular season games if they do a high shot or dangerous tackle?
