Messenger , Brown , Beetson , Fittler , Ricketson , Robbo, Cordner . All great Roosters men , but Politis for mine is the greatest of them all . We are so fortunate that this man loves this club as much as we do. There is no way in the world we would be where we are now if Nick Politis hadn’t come along .
Thank God for Saint Nick .

That was a super article and a great insight into Uncle Nick. Thanks rozza .

What I took from that article was that SBW would not have played for any other NRL club after his departure from the Bulldogs.

How does Bouris' style/wealth compare BTW?

My reading is that his one successful venture has been Wizard. For it, he convinced Packer to back his idea, built-up a network and then sold it for $100m. Dunno if Wizard even exists these days?

Not dissing that style but Nick seems to like the relationships + to-and-fro a lot more. Also, he's still got lotsa skin in the game despite being a lot older. Whereas, Bouris seems to be in teacher mode (doing Trump-style apprentice shows and the like).

Bouris is the fit ol fkr who boxes and keeps players on their toes. Just on that, the Roosters have plenty of boxing talent in their systems and I feel having Bouris helps that.

Nick deserves a statue in the centre of excellence they’ll name after him, he epitomises that term.
