It’s a good thing that all the players have got Covid know so when the comp starts the players will have some immunity.

Happy to hear your analysis of why rather than your low-grade, knee-jerk attempt to provide a bombastic slap-down. I expect a 10,000 word essay (AGLC referenced) on my desk by COB, son.

PS - I've got a house in Rosedale, ever been there mate?

I’m glad all the players have had Covid because now they will all be immune to it.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but having Covid does not make you immune to catching it again.

It does improve your immunity particularly in the short term.

Its actually a bit beyond my knowledge but I did read this.

The components of immunity protection include:
                • Antibodies are proteins that circulate in the blood and recognize foreign substances like viruses and neutralize them.
                • Helper T cells help to recognize pathogens.
                • Killer T cells kill pathogens.
                • B cells make new antibodies when the body needs them.

People who recover from COVID-19 have been found to have all four of these components. However, specifics about what this means for the immune response and how long immunity lasts are not clear.
For people who recover from COVID-19, immunity to the coronavirus can last about 3 months to 5 years, research shows.

Why people are getting Covid twice in as little as one month

Some pretty solid science in that article...

"While it's probably unlikely Ms Sorensen produced a false positive on her Covid tests, as she seems legitimately ill in her subsequent TikTok videos, Prof Bennett warned false positives could lead people to think they have been reinfected."

I'm jabbed and recommend it...but these comments are ridiculous!
The chances of any reasonably healthy person in this age group getting very sick or dying from COVID (especially Omicron) are extremely low.....like 0.0005 percent chance (10 x less likely than a car crash). Thats is vaxxed or not!
If you add in the fact that they are elite athletes with exceptional diets, I'd say that this figure would be better still.
Do we ban them from driving also?
If my doctor told me that I had a better than 99% chance of beating cancer, I'd be f#cking ecstatic... I would be at 50%!!
Your analogy is plain ridiculous and the reason we have perfectly healthy people living in unreasonable fear and over the top responses to this.
Yes, be vigilant and take is seriously...look after your most vulnerable, but for god sake get a grip!
Unlike some, I don't get my knowledge from the internet, I get it from people I work with in the diagnostic arena. The survival rate if you get covid is either 0% or 100% to the person with it.

Omicron gives you immunity from Delta but not the other way around.

                          Suppose I should contribute.
My offsider at work, passed 6 days short of embracing his 59th year.
Statistical survival rates ( from being a participant of the pangolin gourmet club), rather meaningless to him, I'd reckon.

Well...there's my 1st post done and dusted.

I find this comment to be:
                              • judgmental,
                              • divisive,
                              • presumptuous,
                              • a generalisation,
                              • arrogant,
                              • ignorant, and
                              • symptomatic of a dangerous attitude.
For someone as evidently intelligent as you, I also find it surprising. You once pointed out that the expression "drinking the Kool-Aid" should actually mean the opposite to what it is commonly accepted to mean. Why do I bring this up? It seems to me you have not considered views counter to yours when it comes to the c19 narrative, and it's not because you're unable.

Lastly, on an unrelated and rhetorical note, I wonder what you are trying to convey by your choice of avatar.
